Instructions for using AV Equipment in Touch Screen Classrooms:

1.  Turn on computer and log in following the instructions posted in the classroom.

2.  You will see this screen on the touch pad panel - . Touch anywhere on the screen to start system.

3.  Press YES when the screen asks “Do you want to power on the system?”. . It will take an average of 3 minutes to power up. Do not click anything until the power on message stops flashing!

4. You can choose the PC, DVD/VCR, or Laptop selections located at the top of the screen to select your desired output .

5.  To use a laptop, press the “Laptop” selection on the touch screen. There are network, VGA, power, and audio cables on the instructor’s desk for connection to your laptop.

6.  Press MUTE VIDEO to temporarily black out (mute) the projection image. Press DISPLAY to return your selected image on the screen.

7.  For proper sound, on the far right of the touch screen panel press the “Up” or “Down” arrows to control sound output.

8.  To turn projector system off, press the EXIT button at the top right corner. The system will ask, “Are you sure you want to shutdown the projector?” Click shutdown to turn system off. It will take approximately 5 minutes for the system to completely power down. Do not click anything until the power down message stops flashing. If you want to turn the system back on, you will have to wait for the cooling down session to complete.

Notes:

-Please do not move or touch the projectors mounted on the ceiling in the classrooms. Cables can disconnect causing down and inoperable equipment.

-Please be sure to power off the projector at the conclusion of your class. If you are not using the projector for an extended period of time, shut off system to prevent projector lamp usage waste. Contact the Cy-Fair Service Desk @ 281-290-3948 or for assistance.
