A 3 out of 4 training sessions will be the expectation from players who want to commit to program
Bethan Arthur has taken on the role of NLD ladies program manager and will be pulling a team together to build on the Ladies program and to push information out on various social media
The database being compiled with several new groups of ladies popping up and DE to pass on all his contact list to aid in dissemination of information
The suggestion of running a Development Squad in conjunction with main squad will not be run this season as priority to build the core playing squad set up and to ensure program runs successfully. Can be looked at next season.
Development we suggest that unsuccessful players engage in the RFU Pitch Up and Play sessions being run at various venues
As agreed in the Women’s Meeting held earlier, we ran the first Pitch up and Train at Ilkeston RFC which Jo Dawson hosted for the NLD, DE and a one of the Applicant coaches ran for 4 players who enjoyed the session.
Early January the interviews for the assistant coaches take place
From the working group all social media to go through Nichole with regards to arrangement and funding
CC copies to be forwarded to NLD Office, NC, NS LS for anything sent out.

Agreed that Head Coaches position remains for this season with new/re-appointment of coaching staff for 2 years.

We are planning to run separate (additional) meetings focused on the ladies section to try and get a better buy–in from ladies sections as the traditional numbers at this meeting have been from girls sections.

There was a miss understanding of the social event Pitch up and Train , it is a social event designed to encourage the link between u18 senior players and senior ladies to start mixing to encourage 18-ladies transition but the event is primarilary social

U13
Well supported again this year with 40 girls registered and an average of 30 per session. Core clubs this year were Mansfield, Boston and Melbourne. There are good numbers of Y8 players coming thro as well.
U15
45+ girls trialled and as numbers were good last season we decided to run a playing squad and development squad to keep girls involved in program. Continued result success winning CB Festival, losing only 1 game, beating N Mids away but losing to E Mds at home.
Development got a game to finish their program at home to E Mids bolstered by some playing squad forwards.
DEV
Training alongside U13 at the three venues working on core skills and guided by u15 head coach. Girls settled well and became stronger with players stepping up to lead during their game
U18
Considered a transitional year with a very young squad 50% are in first year. This year showed good numbers and meant players were selected with again 45+ trialling. Strong games against established teams saw losses of all but one game against Cheshire.

Squad notification-priority was given to playing squad as kit was needed to be ordered and also at trials the girls were told that if they failed to make playing squad they would make development
Venue selection-this is made to be fair that all travel and one session in each CB county and also cost being kept to minimum
Notification- all players received emails with dates venues and times and any questions should have been referred back to squad managers. Ongoing any squad issues should be referred to appropriate NLD manager not through club. / PH

U15/U18 both nominated 12 players but the program this year doesn’t guarantee a trail place as they plan to invite from lists.
8 / DEVELOPEMENT PROPOSITION
Proposal by Chair to bring U18 girls CB programme forward starting in March 16 and carrying on throughout year, (excluding June/July break). Monthly Friday evening training sessions. Aim is to promote positional play and development of players, (aimed at ALL CLUB players not just NLD squad players), and to elevate standard of U18 rugby within NLD allowing better competition with other CB’s at age group.
Squad selection through trials following existing format.
Increased to weekly CB training sessions starting from trials through CB Festival and games.
Bring forward the Coaching Appointments to Feb as all coaching staff up for re-selection in May. New job descriptions to be written and issued and application forms sent out and posted on website.
Head Coach interviews first who will then sit in on Assistant Coaching interviews.

Tour- plan to look at the possibilities of taking the NLD U15 and U18 girls on a tour. All girls. Possibility of European or Home tour.
Coaching appointments to be reviewed to provide level of succession planning by de-syncing Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches posts. Moving of appointment process forward to Feb in line with proposed changes to Girls U18/U15 CB programme
Consideration to Mansfield RFC who train Friday eve when planning program and any extension of plan
