Survey Summary:

1.  2nd year AAS Construction Technology (CT) Students: See Attachment #4a.

Summary Items:

·  92% of AAS/CT students are enrolling in SUNY Delhi Bachelor of Technology (BT) in Const. Management for Fall 2011. (See Question #2 in Attachment # 4a)

·  CT AAS Rating: 24% Exceptional; 60% Good (Q= Question #12)

·  Capstone Course Rating Good (Q # 23)

·  CT Technical Courses: Q #20-27: Met or Exceeded Expectations

·  Note: Numbering error in survey. Please reference Question # next to charts.

Action Items:

·  Revise Survey in web-based format. Review with Industry Advisory Council (IAC)

2.  4th year BT/CM Students (Completed AAS & BT Internship): See Attachment #4b.

Summary Items:

·  93% helped by AAS Program in getting Internship (Q #7)

·  CT AAS Rating: 20% Exceptional; 60% Good (Q#12)

·  Capstone Course Rating Good (Q # 23)

·  CT Technical Courses: Q #20-27: Met or Exceeded Expectations

(Construction Scheduling Ratings too low: Q #16 & # 24: 13% Below Expectations)

Action Items:

·  Construction Scheduling Ratings Need to be Increased. More Applications to be incorporated during mock-up lab activities in CNST 210: Commercial Construction. IAC to be asked for input.

·  Revise Survey in web-based format. Review with IAC.

3.  Industry Performance of BT/CM Students (First year after AAS completion): See Attachment #4c.

Summary Items:

·  12 Performance Evaluations Reviewed

·  Part 2- Question #4: 92% of Employers would hire intern if position available.

·  Part 2- Question #6: 100% of Employers would hire another SUNY Delhi intern.

Action Items:

·  Final Performance Evaluation “form” to list company name. Easier to identify company.

·  Check possibility of web based evaluation.

4.  5th year Graduates of AAS Construction Technology Program: Class of 2006 See Attachment #4d.

Summary Items:

·  13 graduates: 8 Graduates submitted survey answers. (62% Response Rate).

·  100% of graduates responding are working in the industry. (Q#8)

·  CT AAS Rating: 62% Exceptional; 38% Good (Q#12)

·  CT Technical Courses: Q #20-27: No “Below Expectations” answers.

Action Items:

·  Revise Survey in web-based format. Review with IAC.

5.  Performance Outcomes Summary: See Attachment #5.

·  Old scoring system used checks for meeting performance outcome standards. Reference the academic data for the academic year 2009-2010.

·  New scoring system for academic year 2010-2011 uses number system to measure performance outcomes. Attached chart shows data for current academic year.

Action Items:

·  New scoring system to incorporate average scores for all performance outcomes. Review with IAC.

6.  Enrollment Data Summary:

·  The average retention rate for the AAS CT program from Fall2005 to Fall 2009 is 71.3%.This is higher than the college average.

·  Fall 2005 through Fall 2008: 120 students enrolled in the AAS program: 52 have received Construction Technology degrees. 31 are still enrolled in one of Delhi’s Construction options.

·  Fall 2009: 22 of 28AAS students are still enrolled as of spring 2011. Retention rate = 75%. This is higher than we've had in the past. Also, 15 of these 28 students have moved to one of our bachelor degrees.
