Character Education
On October 21, Hill & Plain students again participated in Make a Difference Day. Each grade level took on a project: 3rdgraders collected coins and participatedin a mini walk for the American Cancer Society; 2ndgraders collected supplies for the New Milford Animal Society; 1stgraders baked treats and invited local Senior Citizens for a morning of appreciation; and our kindergartners donated goods to the New Milford Food Bank.
Our November Character Education Trait is Honesty. Through literature and discussions, students will learn the consequences of not telling the truth and we will discuss situations where students are encouraged to make honest choices.
Boxtop / Labels for Education
Congratulations to Ms. Kullgren's class for collecting the most Box Tops for the month of September. They collected 891 BoxTops and won Boxie the Bear for their classroom during the month of October. Which class will be the next winner of Boxie the Bear??? Keep collecting those BoxTops!
The Leaders in the Super Bowl of Labels for Education are:

3rd Grade: Mrs. Grasso 140 points
Send in those Labels for Education by December 15th so your class can reach the end zone and win a classroom party during Super Bowl Week.
