Screenshot Tool

The preferred method for creating screenshots is using MicroSoft OneNote 2010. OneNote will allow you to use a shortcut key and capture any area of your screen and save it to the clipboard, so that you may post it into a Word doc, email, etc…….

To enable this feature start Microsoft OneNote:

From within OneNote go to File > Options:

Within options select “Send to OneNote”, and under the screen clippings drop down choose “To Clipboard Only”.

In order to use this feature use the Windows Key + S. You will be able to crop a selection directly from your screen, it will be placed into your clipboard, and from there the cropped image can be inserted into a document using the Paste function.

Other acceptable screenshot tools:

  • Snagit
  • CapturePro
  • Windows Print Screen/Paint
