NJROTC Heritage Community Gardens Service Project

Mission: To support urban farming and the Georgetown Heritage Community Gardens program. The City provides the property for the Heritage Garden on Hutto Road to enable citizens to cultivate fresh and local grown fruits and vegetables. Liberty Battalion will assist with the general up-keep of the site and work to prepare and maintain grounds for the growth and sustainment of plants and trees.
When: Friday, 14 October, 2017
Time: 7:30 am -2:00 pm
Where: 2100 Hutto Road in Georgetown (Hutto Road is off 29 by South West University)
Gear: Please bring gloves, closed toe shoes, water bottles, and gear appropriate for outdoor work. Sunblock and bug spray are also recommended. Check the weather forecast and bring rain gear if appropriate.
Details: Cadets will need to provide their own transportation to and from the event. NJROTC Instructors and Booster Club Members will be present. This event provides an opportunity for cadets to get together with the rest of the Battalion and begin working on this school years community service hours.
Meals: Lunch will be provided free of charge by the NJROTC Booster Club (please eat a good breakfast before reporting for duty).
