Announces Acquisition of two new Community Coaches

Coach Sizemore and Coach Cimowsky join Head Coach Lisa Oglesby, Assistant Coach Nic Hill, and GHSA Community Coach Angela Boardman

Community Coach Scott Sizemore:

Coach Sizemore’s softball experience: Head Coach Atlanta Flames Travel Team, Head Coach HIES Middle School Softball, Head Coach and Assistant Coach NYO Rookies, Minors, Majors & Seniors Softball, Head Coach NYO 10 & 12 U All Star Softball Travel Team.

Coach Sizemore’s continuing education includes: Attend local clinics held by softball professionals including: Dave Paetkau (hitting), Jen Yee (Hitting), Howard Kobata (fielding), Bill Hillhouse (Pitching), Catching. PCA – Positive Coaches Alliance Certified, and Cindy Bristow: Softball Excellence Member, and NFCA – CoachesCollege Certification Program. Working towards 5 Star Coaching Degree – Taught at various colleges around the country by leading Coaches in the NCAA.

Coach Sizemore Coaching Summary:

I enjoy sharing my passion and knowledge for the game. I teach a positive work ethic for personal growth and team unity: how to set and achieve goals through personal improvement and competitive activity. I instill confidence in player’s abilities and teach, “Success is not always measured by the scoreboard.”

Community Coach Andy Cimowsky:

A native of TorontoCanada, Coach Cimowsky moved to Atlanta in 1986 and has been involved with baseball and softball programs at NYO since 2004. In addition to coaching fall and spring recreational teams he has helped coach several summer softball travel teams for the more competitive experience that summer travel ball brings.

Coach Cimowsky’s coaching philosophy:

Every player has a unique and important talent and contribution to make to the overall success of the team. He stresses that striving for personal excellence is a critical goal for each player, but at the end of the day, it is how the team decides to work together as a unit that wins hearts and games.

North AtlantaWarrior Softball is excited about the involvement of these new softball coaches as the program begins expanding opportunities to softball players. The NAHS softball program is looking forward to being able to field a JV softball team in the very near future as the number of talented players continues to increase, year after year, at the school.
