Kemper Lakes Golf Club is a private club located in the Village of Kildeer, Illinois. We have an immediate opening for an Executive Chef. Long considered one of the premier golf courses in the United States, Kemper Lakes was one of only four public facilities to ever host a major championship, - the 1989 PGA Championship won by the late Payne Stewart, six Senior PGA Tour events, four Grand Slams of Golf, the USGA Public Links Championship, the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship and twenty four consecutive Illinois PGA Championships. Kemper Lakes Golf Club became a semi-private club golf in 2003 and totally private in 2007. Currently we have 260 members.
Kemper Lakes features a renovated 32,000 square foot clubhouse, which has a casual dining room for 80, the Payne Stewart Room for 60 and a ballroom with floor to ceiling windows that seat 250 and overlooks golf course and lakes. Our ballroom serves over 45 weddings and outside events per year along with member social functions and Monday outings. Annual food and beverage sales are $1.4 million.
The Executive Chef is responsible for all food that is produced at the facility, develops menus, food purchasing specifications and recipes. Develops and monitors food and labor budgets for the kitchen staff. Maintains the highest professional food quality and sanitation standards along with a consistent presentation to the membership.
The candidate should be a graduate from a recognized culinary training program, and be experienced in menu planning, cost control, and possess excellent supervisory and motivating training skills. A private club background is required. The candidate must also be a team-oriented person that has a passion for preparing foods in a club environment and also be visible to our members. The compensation will be commensurate with experience. The company offers comprehensive health and dental insurance benefits, 401 and education in salary package.
