RULES REGULATIONS GENERAL INFORMATION

USHERS ARE VERY ESSENTIAL AMBASSADORS FOR THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT AND ARE EXPECTED TO CONDUCT THEIR BEHAVIOR WITH THE HIGHEST DEGREE OF COURTESY AND WILLINGNESS TO ASSIST ALL SPECTATORS. USHERS ARE REPRESENTING THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT, THE AGGIES, AND TEXAS A & M UNIVERSITY.

1. YOU ARE EXPECTED TO BE ON TIME. Unauthorized absences or lateness will not be tolerated.

There will be large crowds for all games: Allow ample time for travel and parking since several major streets may be under construction or closed. *Parking for Game Day Ushers is available in Lot 43, which is located at the George Bush Library. A shuttle will drop you off at the stadium.*

NOTICE: Game times will be announced to accommodate TV.

2. Your employee credential is good for your admittance only and must be worn at all games. You must enter through the Employee Gate 9 located at the Northwest Entrance at Kyle Field. You must present your picture ID when entering through the Employee Gate 9 located at the Northwest Entrance at Kyle Field. The employee gatekeepers are instructed to permit only the employee to enter the stadium grounds. No coolers are allowed in Kyle Field and all personal bags are subject for search.

3. No person will be allowed to work until ALL employee forms have been completed.

4. Your Supervisor will provide game day orientation and remind you of the First Aid Personnel and the Emergency Evacuation Plan at your pre-game meeting. KNOW YOUR ASSIGNED AREA, THE LAYOUT OF THE STADIUM, AND KNOW WHERE YOU CAN GET HELP. The Central First Aid Station is located at ground level, West Stadium side. Sub-stations are located on the Lower East and North End Zone, Upper and Top Levels of both East and West stands. Ushers are to be observant and seek immediate assistance when necessary.

5. All spectators entering your ramp must have a ticket stub. Infants will not be admitted to the game without a ticket. Baby seats may be used for infants with a ticket providing seat width is not in excess of 16 inches. Personal stadium seats in excess of 16 inches are not permitted. If authorized, Knothole and other special ticket holders are to sit in Designated Sections only and are not allowed to enter any other section. Non-Usher Game Personnel, with badge, should be told to go to ROW 41 Lower Deck East or West Stands (NOT IN THE ZONE) and stand (depending on crowd for game.) Only authorized and credentialed personnel assigned to the track are to be near the field. This applies to officers who work traffic, parking lots and security.

6. Anyone occupying a seat without an official ticket stub should be redirected to their designated seat. For assistance, call your supervisor and if necessary, call a police officer if you need help. DO NOT get involved in any inappropriate confrontations. Umbrellas are not allowed in the Stadium. Also, smoking is off limits in the seating and ramp area of the Stadium. Personal banners and flags are not permitted for display. Call on an officer if you need assistance in enforcing stadium policies.

GENERAL INFORMATION

1.  DRESS CODE: Ushers are expected to wear Khaki slacks or skirts with an Athletic Department issued white shirt, head wear and credential. If you do not have an issued shirt, you will be required to wear a solid white shirt with collar. No display of personal items on usher uniform. Apparel must be clean and pressed for each game. The Zone Club, Suite/ Box Ushers will be expected to wear Athletic Department issued white shirt, black pants and appropriate head wear. Usher Supervisors will be required to wear Athletic Department issued khaki shirt, black pants and appropriate head wear. REMEMBER—NEATNESS IN APPEARANCE IS ESSENTIAL.

2.  LOST AND FOUND: Lost and Found will be located at Gates 11 (Northwest), 14 (Northeast), 4 (Southwest Ticket Booth), and 1 (Southeast Ticket Booth). If a fan turns in a found item, have a Supervisor radio the Head Usher for instructions as to location where it should be taken. Umbrellas, strollers, baby carriers, oversized chair backs, etc. will not be checked in at the Lost and Found locations. No claim tickets will be issued. Patrons may leave them outside of the gates if they wish.

3.  PASS OUTS will NOT be allowed at Kyle Field this year due to SEC regulations. There is no re-entry to Kyle Field.

4.  PAYROLL CHECKS: Payroll checks for the season should be ready prior to Christmas. Ushers are required to use the University’s automated direct payroll depository system.

5.  COMPLAINTS: Spectator complaints and/or Stadium problems are to be reported to your Supervisor during the game. Supervisor is to report to the Assistant Head Usher any concerns to be addressed and followed up by the Head Usher and Athletic Department. The feedback cards which contain an email address for the Athletic Director should be distributed to fans with positive and negative concerns.

6.  USHER ACCIDENT REPORT: In the event an usher is injured on the job, you are to report such incident to your supervisor. Also, YOU or a FAMILY member must report such incident to Erin Willert, Athletic Department, at (979) 458-3997 on Monday morning following the weekend game for proper Workman’s Compensation filing. The window of opportunity expires on Monday, 5:00 PM.

USHERS ARE VERY IMPORTANT AND VITAL PART TO THE SUCCESS OF THE FOOTBALL PROGRAM. YOUR PUNCTUALITY, POSITIVE CONDUCT, POSITIVE SERVICE WITH A “FAN FIRST” ATTITUDE, AND NEAT APPEARANCE WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THIS SUCCESS.
