Here are the details of the forthcoming SKGB Kata Championships. The competition for 2016will be run as three separate style championships, WADO-RYU; SHOTOKAN; and SHITO-RYU. There will therefore be a Scottish Champion for each category in their respective style. The semi finalists from each category will then go forward to the “All Styles” Championship.

Each style will be responsible for judging their own group and selected judges from each group will then be responsible for the “All Style” finals.In the team and pairs events all competitors will compete in an all styles category only.

The tear off entry form below should be completed and returned with the individualentry fee of £15.00 to your instructor as soon as possible. Cost per pairs will be £10 and per team entry will be £15.00 (£5.00 per team member). All cheques should be made payable to Scottish Karate Governing Body and returned to your instructor.

This year we will add a veteran (35 years+) event if there is enough interest. The category code will be 5A for the female event and 5B for the male event. This will be an all styles category only. Start time 1pm.

Please note:

Competitors must have an up to date licence to be eligible to compete in this competition. Only Associations affiliated to the Scottish Karate Governing Body can put forward competitors for this Championship.

Spectator fees of £5.00 and £2.00 for concessions will be payable on the day of the competition.
