About us

Clinical Services

Everyone at Prostate Cancer UK is working together to tame prostate cancer within ten years.

We are focused on four big changes to achieve this ambition:

  1. Better Diagnosis
  2. Better Treatments
  3. Better Prevention
  4. Better Support

To help deliver these, the Clinical Servicesteam focuses on Better Support. Wefocus on the provision of key services directly to men and others affected by, or concerned about prostate cancer.

We operate in full collaboration with each other and with all other programmes and functions across the organisation and work to ensure that we have a flow of information and knowledge both into back from the programmes, to support achievement of the objectives of the charity’s strategy and business plan.

Provision of Key Services

In addition to the unacceptable variation in the standards of care across the UK, many men do not have enough information about risk, diagnosis, treatments, side effects or available support. Through the ongoing provision of our key services, Prostate Cancer UK directly supports, informsand empowers men through their prostate cancer journey, offering a dedicated, expert and impartial service to help them make the best decisions and cope with prostate cancer.

We provide direct support and information to men, families and health professionals through the specialist nurse service, the nurse-led fatigue programme, and one-to-one support from volunteers. We also contribute to education events, health information reviews and media work.
