The June meeting is our informal annual get-together to discuss club progress for the year and to suggest changes for the upcoming year. Should we get field trips going again? Should we have more how-to workshops as occasional monthly meeting presentations or in addition to the regular monthly meeting presentations? Any ideas for presentation topics will be discussed. Bring your best ideas. If you have any problems with any of your photos, bring them and someone at the meeting may have ideas on that as well. And again, thanks to Ursy for hosting!

Festivalof the Photograph - Charlottesville, VA - JUNE 7-9
Festival of the Photograph will be a 3-day program of exhibitions, outdoor projections, master classes, interviews with world-famous photographers and special events that will transform the downtown of historic Charlottesville, Virginia into a "living image." Premiering June 7 – 9, 2007 the Festival will showcase the work of many of the world's most celebrated photographers and exciting new artists, with images ranging from the fields of photojournalism to fine art. NPR's Alex Chadwick will interview this year's featured photographers William Albert Allard, Sally Mann and Eugene Richards on three separate evenings at the Paramount Theater.
Other exhibits will include work from Lynn Johnson, Steve McCurry, Rebecca Norris Webb, and Bill Emory.
The Festival will create an immersive experience with shows virtually everywhere: in the trees, projected in storefront windows, on the sides of buildings, and in all the galleries. Additionally, all festival guests can show work at a special collaborative exhibit called "Yourspace." Photographers David Alan Harvey, Maggie Steber, Alex Webb, and Rebecca Norris Webb will be teaching master classes for those looking to push their photography to a new level. Other presenting artists include: Paolo Pellegrin, Lalla Essaydi, David Liittschwager, Debbie Fleming Caffery, Zalmai, Roger Ballen, Paul Nicklen, Simon Norfolk, David Alan Harvey, Alexandra Boulat, Mark Moffett, Luis Mazariegos, Jonas Bendiksen, Christopher Morris, Larry Towell, Anton Corbijn, Alex Webb, Tyler Hicks, and Donna Ferrato.

1) Be sure your image is no more than 8-bits per channel (In PS: Image > Mode & check 8 bits/channel)
2) Change the resolution to 72, change the long side to 500 pixels (Click on Image > Image Size)
3) If you have Photoshop, go to File > Save for Web and set the quality to High and 60 and save.
