We are fast approaching the time of year for the annual Sheriff’s Office for Santa, (Project S.O.S.). We are asking for your support in making this year’s event more successful than last year.
Project S.O.S. is an organization founded by the late Lieutenant James Sunderland in 2004. Lt. Sunderland loved children and saw an opportunity to give back to our community by establishing a committee that met with local schools to assist in identifying families in need during the holiday season. Together with other Deputies, Lt. Sunderland gathered donations from local businesses, like yours, to buy toys for under privileged children of Val Verde County and the City of Del Rio. He coordinated with volunteers and distributed wrapped toys to the children while spreading Christmas cheer to the community. The need for gifts or monetary donations has grown quite considerably due to the growing number of children in our community and past success of the project.
Project S.O.S. is respectfully requesting a monetary donation from your business / organization; any donation amount will be greatly appreciated. Project S.O.S is planning on assisting 400 to 500 children this year.
With generous supporters like you, we can help make this dream a reality by helping the children of Val Verde County and the City Of Del Rio have a great Christmas.
