Short description of the company / Eurodad (European Network on Debt and Development) is a network of 48 NGOs from around 20 European countries working on issues related to debt, development finance and poverty reduction.
The network focuses in particular on aid effectiveness, the private turn of aid, debt and tax justice. Eurodad network coordinates the work of its members and allows for information and intelligence exchange. We also undertake research on development finance policies and collective advocacy towards policy makers at the national, European and international level. Eurodad also collaborates closely with Southern civil society to achieve its goals.
Eurodad’s aim is to push for development policies that support pro-poor and democratically-defined sustainable development strategies; support the empowerment of Southern people to chart their own path towards development; and to seek a lasting and sustainable solution to the debt crisis and appropriate development financing.
Our secretariat in Brussels has around 15 employees and we value the support of interns in delivering of our activities towards a stable international financial system conducive to development. Eurodad always make sure the interns are equipped with new skills, knowledge and competencies upon completion of their assignment. Eurodad has sufficient resources and capacity to provide the interns with all the necessary support throughout their internship.

Description of activities / The purpose of the internship will be to provide university graduates with the training in the areas of communications, financial administration and organisation of events, as well as to equip them with good research and advocacy skills.
The selected intern will have an understanding of and interest in Eurodad’s work areas and in the areas of responsibility of the internship.
The roles and tasks of the intern will involve:
- Support financial management and reporting: daily follow up of administrative work with respect to suppliers, members, staff, consultants, funders and accountant, booking invoices and classifying/archiving all relevant documents, preparing financial reports and budget analysis of specific projects.
- Organisation of events and delivery of activities: support the organisation of meetings, events and conferences organised and/or co-organised by Eurodad, help finding venues, inviting participants, prepare documents, track the budget of the events, liaise with relevant suppliers, help office logistics, attend meetings to represent Eurodad, take notes and assure follow up
- Support communications: proof-read, sub-edit and layout articles and reports produced by Eurodad staff, translate articles and reports whenever necessary, regularly update Eurodad website and maintain contact database, help raise awareness and readership of Eurodad reports, publish newsletters and basic support on server and IT issues.
- Research support: information gathering, reading and summarizing policy documents, conducting analysis and research from databases, providing support to Policy Officers.

*) In order for the student to get an Erasmus+ grant the duration of the placement has to be at least two months. The maximum duration is 12 months. NB! The student has to apply to his/her institution for an Erasmus+ grant before the student starts the training.
In case the placement takes place after the student’s graduation it has to be done within a maximum of one year after. NB! The student must apply for an Erasmus+ grant to his/her institution before graduation.
