Lakeville Campus Volunteer Role Descriptions
Set-up and/or Take-down – Work with Jordan Hines, Jon Oney, Alys Pederson & Julie Dehart to set-up the Lakeville campus using Portable Church Industries (PCI). We will work as one large team to unload the trailers and four smaller teams set up the space. Set up take about 1.5 hours and begins at 7am. Take down and reloading the trailers begins after the service ends and takes about 30 minutes. People of all ages and gender can help with this task. There will be a team specifically for Tech/AVL, First Impressions, Childrens, and Youth. You do not need any prior experience to help do the initial unload of the equipment. All training will be provided.
We need 20 (40 to rotate) people for this team. We currently have 10 people for this team.
Trailer Driver/Delivery –1/2 ton trucks and/or drivers that would be willing to drive the trailers that contain all of the Audio, Video, Lighting, Children's area, First Impressions Desk, etc. equipment from the Storage unit to Kenwood Trail every Sunday morning, and then return the trailers to the storage unit after the Worship service. BBC owns a van that can be used to haul these trailers as well. Even if you don't have a truck or van, but are still willing to drive a trailer, we have a spot for you!
We need 3 people. We currently have 2 people for this team.
Tech-A/V Team– Work with Jordan Hines when setting up/running the technology for the Worship Service. Minimal previous tech knowledge is needed to be part of this team. Jordan will teach you everything you need to know to get your assigned role completed.
We need 10 people for this team. We are still in need of 3 volunteers to run lights, 3 volunteers to run lyrics, and 2 volunteers to be general stage hands. We currently have 2 people for this team.
Worship – Assist in weekend worship leading by playing an instrument or singing on the worship team.
Security – Ensure the safety of people attending Berean Lakeville. Patrol the building and grounds. Respond to emergencies/suspicious activity. Watch for irregular behavior or hazards. Have clear communication skills. Call 911 when back up is needed.

First Impressions Team: This person/team is extrovert, has the gift of hospitality, possesses strong communication skills, and holds a joyful countenance, a ready smile and warmth.
Welcome Center–Ensure Welcome Center desk and signs are set up and visually appealing. Provide information and answer questions for guests prior to the Education Hour, as well as before and after the Worship Service. Be familiar with ministry leaders who can help provide additional detail/information. Be knowledgeable of the building layout/rooms used and help visitors navigate to appropriate rooms.Follow up with visitors after the worship service.Be aware of surroundings and report suspicious activity to the Safety Team.

Greeter/Usher–Ensure entrance is tidy and inviting. Validate signs are properly hung/placed. Ensure doors are unlocked/opened. Locate Bulletins. Welcome guests as they attend/enter Berean Lakeville Campus prior to the Education Hour, as well as before and after the Worship Service. Greet every person (by name if you have met them before – all ages including children). Engage in conversation earlier on when the pace is slow. Look for people you do not recognize, offer your name and help themnavigate to the Welcome center desk. Thank visitors for coming.Be aware of surroundings and report suspicious activity to the Safety Team.
We need 8 (16 to rotate) people for this team. We currently have 10 people for this team.
Café – Ensure Café is set up and visually appealing. Help with set up of beverages and food items. Make Coffee. Provide a welcoming atmosphere for newcomers, and to encourage people to arrive early to enjoy quality coffee (and more importantly, conversation) before theservice. Be knowledgeable of the items sold and their cost ($1 -$2 dollar increments). Maintain high quality health standards. Clean up 15 minutes after the Worship Service begins. The Café Leader will contact Jenny regarding café needs including supply restocking and food/beverage orders. Be aware of surroundings and report suspicious activity to the Safety Team.
We need 2 (4 to rotate) people for this team. We currently have 3 people for this team.
Parking – Worship and Ministry begins in the parking lot. Parking Attendants are the first impression visitors and members see. They help manage the flow of traffic by ushering cars to spaces when needed, protect pedestrians walking into the building, and welcome vehicles with energy and excitement. Offer an umbrella on rainy days. Be aware of surroundings and report suspicious activity to the Safety Team.

BereanCare–Provide information on support programs: GriefShare, DivorceCare, Cancer Support Plus, Women Caregiver Support, Marriage Mentors, and Career & Financial Coaching. Provide contact information to Kari Peterson.

Adult Electives– Full
Men's Ministry– Work with Roger Thompson to connect men with other men, and grow in faith.
Women's Ministry – Work with Heather Forsbergand Lori Andersonto connect women with other women, and grow in faith.
Kids– Work with Julie DeHart to help set up the Children’s space. Lead either a small group or large group lesson or both. We will need those who are interested in welcoming and check-in, and greeting in the classrooms and acclimating students to the correct tables, etc.

Youth – Main Leaders will communicate and work with Dan Goldschmidt (Preteen), Jesse Manning (Junior High) and Josh Hansen (Senior High). Lead/support educational hour for grade 5 -12. Keep track of supplies & needs.
In need of a male to lead Preteen.
Missional Communities – Collaborate with Will Wallace and help people get connected with a missional community.
