Kansas City, MO — Fairbanks Scales Inc., the oldest scale company in the U.S. and the world’s leader in weighing equipment, will be showcasing a wealth of state-of-the-art advanced analytical and weighing instruments for the agricultural industry at Kansas Agri Business Expo, which takes place November 15-16, 2017 at the Century Convention Center and Hyatt Regency Hotel in Wichita, KS. Visit Booth 548 to see the Perten 5200-A grain moisture meter, Perten IM 9500 near-infrared (NIR) grain analyzer, and the new FB2558 vehicle weighing instrument.
Fairbanks has recently been named an authorized distributor in the United States to sell Perten products, which are ideal for use in monitoring quality, meeting specifications and setting commodity pricing. Perten Instruments products are an excellent choice for such industry segments as biofuels, grain farmers and traders, oilseed processors, flour milling, and wet and dry corn processing.
Visitors to the booth can see Perten Instruments’ 5200-A Series grain moisture meter, the third-generation high frequency moisture meter employing Unified Grain Moisture Algorithm (UGMA) technology. With improved accuracy, repeatability, reliability, and user interface, the 5200-A can be used as a stand-alone moisture meter at terminals or integrated into automated testing systems. The higher frequency used penetrates deep into samples for improved results.
Also to be highlighted is the IM 9500 NIR grain analyzer, which uses industry standard NIR transmission to analyze samples, backed up by innovative single block optics. The IM 9500 features a monochromator machined from a single block of metal, which offers a rigidity of structure not available in other instruments. This improves accuracy by reducing sensitivity to vibration and temperature changes that disturb the light path of older design instruments.
The FB2558 instrument to be displayed maintains an industry leading feature set while incorporating faster processing power, an updated operating system, and more memory. Up to five FB2558 instruments can be networked, sharing transactional data and traffic light controls from up to eight scale platforms. Transaction data is shared among networked instruments. The new FB2558 features a powerful integrated web utility that gives technicians complete access to all menu options. All configuration and calibration functions can be performed from a connected laptop or tablet using an Ethernet crossover cable or an existing network. Transactional data or trouble codes can be automatically emailed, improving access to transaction data and providing faster response times if there is ever an issue.
