Approaching the Venue

Approaching the LCB Depot there is a 2m wide pavement outside the entrance to the venue, foot traffic is normally low. There is no dropped curb outside the main doors, the nearest dropped curbs are by the entrance to Rutland House, approximately 30m down the road towards the Exchange Bar, or on the corner of Colton St, 10m towards the Ale Wagon Pub. The road outside the entrance is one way towards Colton St and the traffic is steady but not constant. There is a refuse bin 4m from the main doors on the approach from Charles St, but otherwise the pavement is clear.

Entering the Exhibition

The main entrance to the LCB Depot is a single large, heavy wooden door. The door to the exhibition space is directly to the right of the entrance as you go in, with a push handle. Exhibition information will be displayed to the left of the door. As you enter the exhibition, the lighting will be low, with the only source of light coming from the projector.

Immediately on the left as you enter, there is a large, rough concrete pillar. On the right there is a heavy black curtain. Walk around 2m in-between the two to enter the installation. On the left the space opens out. There is a long bench along the back wall, with the film projected on the opposite wall. If you require audio description, headphones are available from the main reception.

There is also a separate space in the exhibition to relax or reflect in away from the installation. This is accessible by drawing the curtain immediately on the right as you enter. The LCB Depot also has a foyer and cafe with a reception and accessible toilets. To visit this space, exit the exhibition and turn right into a short corridor. On the left there is an automatic glass door leading to the reception and cafe. The reception is ahead and slightly to the right. There will always be a member of staff present at reception. The cafe and toilets are down a short corridor on your right, adjacent to a large orange wall. The cafe is often busy, with tables and chairs arranged across the whole space.
