For more than 34 years the Foundation for Edmonds School District has funded school-wideprojects designed to increase learning and actively engage students through innovative, enriching practices. Do you have an idea on how to enhance student learning? You are encouraged to apply!

Award amounts:Not to exceed $3,000 for one principal’s school-wide project that spans an entire school or grade-level.

Application deadline:Friday, March 9, 2018 by 4:00 p.m.Please scan your application and send it electronically via email. Incomplete, unsigned applications and applications received after the deadline will not be accepted.

Funding timelines:Funds will be available July 1, 2018 and must be spentMay 1, 2019

Selection criterion:Each application will be scored based on the following criteria:

Project directly supports student learning.

Application clearly describes specific student outcomes and how success of the project will be measured.

Outcomes are tied to the District’s Strategic Direction IndicatorsAND the project reflects one or more of the District’s Commitment to Students.

Budget is complete, accurate and supports proposed activities.

The Foundation seeks to fund a wide range of projects across the K-12 continuum. Each proposal is evaluated based on the current application and projects that received grant awards in years past are not guaranteed funding.

Requirements:

Complete Application, no more than four pages inclusive of cover page and budget description.

Application must have principal’ssignature.

Awardee or their designee attend the Foundation’s annual grant awards ceremony on Thursday, May 24.

All grant recipients agree to acknowledge The Foundation’s funding of the project in at least two specific ways and will complete a project evaluation by the end of the 2018-2019 school year. Please be prepared to share photographs and stories about student impact stories so that we can, in turn, share your successes with your project donors. Failure to do so could prevent approval of future Foundation school-wide grant applications.
