HP is the industry leader in providing business continuity and high availability solutions for its customers. Recent events along the eastern seaboard, such as the blackout and Hurricane Isabel, have been a wake-up call for businesses without business continuity protection, and can provide an opportunity to showcase HP's clustering products-Continental Clusters, Metro Cluster, and Extended Campus Cluster. All of the clustering products use Serviceguard as the foundation and protect HP 9000 servers. These products are designed to protect business operations from major interruptions that impact the whole data center. The U.S. centers in Atlanta, GA, and King of Prussia, PA, are staffed with expert recovery personnel 24 x 7 and house uninterruptible power supplies and diesel generators. They are equipped to serve companies in the event of local interruptions or widespread disasters. HP's continuity and high-availability products can help your customers weather the storm without any downtime.

HP has been in the recovery services business for 20 years, and with over 12,000 clients worldwide, has 50 recovery facilities located in 37 countries. HP’s decades of experience in clustering, data replication, hot site capabilities, recovery center capabilities, and infrastructure design have helped produce "best practices" in the industry. HP's Remote Clustering products are currently experiencing a growth rate of 35 percent on geographically dispersed clusters. There are 100 implementations per year, with an average deal size of US$4 million.
