This announcement is made pursuant to Rule 13.09(2) of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.
Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. (the “Company”) announces that, based on the Company’s preliminary statistics, as of 31December 2011, total power generation of the Company and its subsidiaries (the “Group”) amounted to 203.7156 billion kWh, representing anincrease of approximately14.145% when compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Total on-grid power generation of the Group amounted to192.1434 billion kWh, representing anincrease of approximately14.6922% when compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
The significant increase in power generation of the Group for 2011 over thecorresponding period of the previous year was mainly attributable toan increase in capacity of the operational generating units of the Group and an increase in the demand for electricity inthe service areas of the Group.
