Choose 1 activity for each NTI day. By the end of day 10, there should be 5 activities complete. There will be 2 activities that students do not complete. Please have parents inital next to the activity when it is finished.

Gym -- Shovel snow or build a snowman.
Art – Read the poem on the back of this paper in the “Art Box”.
After you read it, respond by drawing a winter scene you see outside inspired by this poem in the space provided.
Library – Read an e-book from our online. Here is how to access this:
1. Go to our school's library catalog at http://destiny.jessamine.k12.ky.us.
2. Click on Red Oak Elementary. In the find box, type in "ebooks". Choose a book and click on the title of that book.
3. Click on the blue link that says: Read the Capstone Interactive eBook Now!
3rd, 4th and 5th grade--please turn the volume down and read the online book
1st and 2nd grade—please listen to a book online
Science – Remember the snow cream, you made on NTI days 1-5? Add other ingredient to your snow-cream to make it unique and flavorful. Then, write a letter to Ben and Jerry’s convincing them to buy the rights to produce your new flavor for the company. Write your letter in the “Science box” on the back of this paper.
Spanish -- Use the attached words below to label items in your house. You can choose one category (food, colors, or objects) or you can mix them up to make the activity more challenging. You can choose between labeling the items alone or you can get a friend or a family member to play with you. If you wish to make the game more challenging and exciting, you can race against a clock or against other people to use all of the labels. You can cut out the labels below or make your own.
Music – Explore a musical website:
1. Go to www.sfskids.org/classic
2. Explore this website for 20 minutes, specifically looking at the “Music Lab” and “Instruments of the Orchestra” tabs.
Gym – Watch and complete the exercise video at http://youtu.be/QnkK-Qh7l_g
