Dear Miss Georgia Contestant,
Congratulations on the title you have been awarded that allows you to compete in this year’s Miss Georgia Pageant! As the producer of the pageant, I will be sending information about the show as you begin preparing to compete in June. At Forum, which will be held March 3 and 4 in Columbus, you will receive details about the production. For the last few years we have been selecting an Opening Number dress which is provided through one of our generous sponsors at a greatly reduced price. The style of the dress will not be revealed until Forum, but it is necessary for us to order prior to that time so that you can have the dresses as early as possible in case alterations are needed.
This year Keith Pittman of Lasting Impressions in Columbus, GA is again providing the dresses for the Miss contestants. By using the link below, you will order directly from his website. If you have any questions you can contact him by email at or by phone at (706) 596-2003. To order your opening number dress please go to www.lastingimpressionsformalwear.com and use the “Miss Georgia” tab at the top right. The order for 2018 Miss Georgia Opening Number will appear.
The 2018 Sherri Hill Miss Georgia opening number dress showcases a high halter neckline and cutout back. The skirt is slightly flared and adorned in sequins. All you have to do is add the perfect shoes and accessories! The dress retails for $350 but will be provided for contestants for $160 because of special arrangements with Keith and the designer, Sherri Hill. All dresses must be paid for by Forum. If you are unable to place and pay for your order immediately, please email or phone Lasting Impressions to give them your dress size. An illustration of the dress will not appear on the website until after Forum.
In an effort to keep down additional costs, we are not requiring a particular style of shoe. We ask that you wear a nude-colored shoe of your choice. Many of you have access to the style we have used in previous pageants, and that shoe will work well with the dress. It can also be ordered from Lasting Impressions at a special price.
This year we are again allowing contestants to wear any color finale gown rather than requiring Miss contestants to wear white and restricting Teen contestants from wearing white. Details of other wardrobe requirements for competition and production numbers will be given at Forum.
I look forward to seeing all of you at Forum. If you have questions about production you can contact me at .
Thanks!
