About the College :
N.B.K.R. Institute of Science & Technology, Sponsored by Harijana Vidyarthi Udharaka Sangam (HVUS), Vakadu, founded by Padmasri Nedurumalli Balakrishna Reddy, was established in 1979. The Institute is located in a sprawling 185 acre site on the bank of the river Swarnamukhi at Vidyanagar, Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh. The Institution is about 135 kms from Chennai and 95 kms from Tirupati. Vidyanagar is located 18kms from Chennai-Kolkata High way. Gudur Junction is the nearest railway station (25km).
N.B.K.R. Institute of Science & Technology has earned a reputation as an Institution of Excellence in Andhra Pradesh. The Institution is approved by AICTE and all courses have been accredited thrice by National Board of Accreditation, AICTE. The institution has got autonomous status from the academic year 2013-2014. The Institute is an ISO 9001–2008 Certified one. Also the Institute has been re-accredited by NAAC (UGC) with ‘A’ Grade.
The Institute offers B.Tech Courses in Civil Engg., Electrical & Electronics Engg., Electronics & Communication Engg., Mechanical Engg., Computer Science & Engg., & M.Tech. Courses in Power Systems, Computer Science & Engineering, Digital Electronics & Communication Systems and Advanced Manufacturing Systems.
The Institute has comprehensive facilities needed for top class Engineering Education. All the Computer Centers in the campus are connected with Optical Fiber network LAN and Internet facility is provided even beyond working hours. The campus is wi-fi enabled.
The Library has a stock of about 42,721 text books, 144 National and International Journals, 4,850 e-Journals, more than 11,942 e-books and has computerized Library information and Xerographic facilities. A Digital Library consisting of CD’s of Lectures given by eminent Professors of I.I.T’s and NPTEL learning material are made available to students to complement the classroom teaching opening up avenues to enrich their knowledge in innovative ways. The Institute also has IEEE, IETE, ISTE and CSI chapters.
The Institute has four well maintained Hostels with modern facilities for boys. A Separate Hostel exclusively for Girl students with a capacity of more than 500 is available. The institute has three stand-by power generators meeting the needs of the whole campus. The Institute has a well equipped sports complex spread across an area of 14 acres. About the Department:
The Department of ECE was established in 1980 and meets the growing demands of Industry and Society. The Department has five Ph.D holders and many are pursing Ph.D. in various areas of ECE. The staff members are well qualified and experienced. The department has state of art laboratory facilities. The department has 120 intake in UG and 18 in PG programmes.
Objective of the Programme:
The main objective of this program is to form a bridge between the industry and academic institutions to update their knowledge. To impart the basic concepts and techniques to the budding technical teachers of all the Engineering colleges in India. It is useful to enhance their skills for academic growth and also to make them conducive for research activity in the field of Microprocessors and Microcontrollers.

The Programme provides expert facilities on the topics mentioned below which will impart a good understanding of latest issues related to Microprocessors and Microcontrollers.
