MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to maximize plant performance.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to achieve timely completion of work.
  • Direct and perform preventative and critical maintenance on equipment and the facility to maximize utilization and meet safety requirements.
  • Assist with the purchase request for all parts and supplies required for dept.
  • Project leader – Assist with development, planning and execution of projects within budget and time constraints.
  • Maintain a spare parts inventory to maximize utilization and minimize inventory costs.
  • Assist with managing outside vendors with regard to schedules, safety and company policies.
  • On-call responsibility of self and other maintenance personnel to ensure 24/7 function of the plant.
  • Manage and report against schedules, costs and backlog.
  • Capable of handling up to 100 lbs. by hand.
  • This job description is not all inclusive and the person will be required to perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Technical and hands-on installation and repair knowledge of injection molding machines (Husky), cooling towers, chillers, air compressors, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints, schematics and instruction manuals.
  • Direct maintenance repairs.
  • Assist in managing outside vendors with regard to schedules, safety and company policies.
  • Intermediate fabrication skills (machining, forming and welding).
  • Project leadership skills.
  • Computer knowledge in a Windows environment using Microsoft Word, Excel and Lotus Notes.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Excellent technical verbiage and written communication skills.
