Near the 1400 metres Skip To The Moon was taken in off its course by Master Alfred (J Beriman) which shifted in when not clear. Jackie Beriman was reprimanded under AR 137(a) careless riding and notified to ensure she is clear o other runners in similar circumstances.

Shortly after this Master Alfred continued to shift in taking Skip To The Moon inwards. Keukenhof which was racing to the inside of Skip To The Moon then had to be restrained. The tightening to Skip To The Moon was aggravated due to Grey Gown shifting in and racing tight to the outside of Master Alfred.

Paul Maher trainer of Grey Gown explained that it was not the connections intention to race as forward as the mare did today. Mr Maher added that whilst he thought the step up in distance today may result in the mare racing slightly closer than its usual pattern he was surprised it settled in the first half of the field. Mr Maher further added that Sigrid Carr rider of the mare stated that after drawing wide she positioned the mare into a position forward to prevent it being caught wide during the race.

** Stewards upgraded the track to GOOD (3) at 3.44 pm **

Spihro raced wide throughout.

Near the 800 metres Manchero had to be checked when tightened for room by Bella Venus which when racing to its inside shifted in away from Issawi.
