The Dream
One dream, one night,
One magical night,
When nothing is quite as it seems.
A world that sleeps,
With secrets it keeps
Can only be seen in your dreams.
How can a time that's far away,
Suddenly seem so near?
How can a rhyme from yesterday Suddenly seem so clear?
Should you believe in a dream in the night?
Open your eyes and you'll see.
Could you believe in a love at first sight?
Or a dream - in the night......
A Royal Wedding
They've named the day.
All the invitations have been sent.
So let us pray
Asking that the rain gods will relent -
For Theseus the Duke - his wedding day.
His noble bride
Hippolyta, the queen from far away.
She's by his side,
Together on the royal wedding day:
Theseus! Victorious! Has now returned in glory
He has swept his enemies away.
Theseus! The Glorious! Rejoice to hear the story.
Now he's back to celebrate the Royal Wedding Day
The fairy land,
We are here to bless this wedding too.
Our fairy band,
Here to send our wishes good and true.
Wishes for prosperity and joy.
And men like us,
We will raise a glass to bless 'em all.
It's them and us,
We won't be invited to the ball
Working men of Athens we will sing:
Theseus! Victorious! Has now returned in glory
He has swept his enemies away.
Theseus! The Glorious! Rejoice to hear the story.
Now he's back to celebrate the Royal Wedding Day
And so we say
Citizens we'' stand as one and bless
Your wedding day
Together we will wish you "All the best!"
Listen to the people, hear us sing!
Theseus! Victorious! Has now returned in glory
He has swept his enemies away.
Theseus! The Glorious! Rejoice to hear the story.
Now he's back to celebrate the Royal Wedding Day
(Now he's back to celebrate the Royal Wedding Day)
Now he's back to celebrate the Royal Wedding Day.
Pyramus and Thisbe
I am the wall
Five feet tall
Straight and true as you can see.
I'll play it long
I can play it strong
And that's why they've chosen me.
And tho' I'm just this tall - I am the wall.
You'll see me soon
I'm the Man up in the Moon
Lantern lighting up the sky.
I'm too proud
To hide behind a cloud
On my ladder way up high.
And I can sing in tune - I am the Moon.
What a play, What a celebration
What a thing to bring before the Lord and Lady.
What a show, what an entertainment,
Pyramus and Thisbe they'll applaud.
They'll shout for more and say,
"O what a play!"
Pyramus, I'll be
Lover of Thisbe.
It's the best part in the show.
Only I can play it
The lion I will slay it
'Ere we go, njow, 'ere we go!
I'm very infamous - I'm Pyramus
Why's it always me
Who has to play Thisbe,
And all the other girlie parts?
Don't you think it's weird When a woman wears a beard?
I suffer - but I do this for my art.
I'm very unhappy - I am Thisbe.
What a play, What a celebration
What a thing to bring before the Lord and Lady.
What a show, what an entertainment,
Pyramus and Thisbe they'll applaud.
They'll shout for more and say,
"O what a play!"
Listen to my roars
Watch out for my claws
I'm the lion strong and proud!
I'll eat Thisbe up, her
Bones will be my supper,
Then I'll shout out very loud...
"You'd better stop your cry'ng - cos I'm the Lion!"
What a play, What a celebration
What a thing to bring before the Lord and Lady.
What a show, what an entertainment,
Pyramus and Thisbe they'll applaud.
They'll shout for more and say,
"O what a play!"
The Wall! - A play!
The Moon! - A play!
Pyramus! - A play!
Thisbe! - A play!
The Lion! - A play!
A play! A play! A play! A play! A play! - A play! -A PLAY!
Titania's Lullaby
Spotted snakes, spitting tongue
Slide away the night's begun,
Slip not near this sleepy scene.
Spiders black, spinning webs
Danger in their silky threads
Come not near our Fairy Queen.
Philomel with sweet melody
We'll sing a lullaby for you.
Lulla, lull, lull, lull, lullaby
We'll sing a lullaby.
So we say - "Goodnight and adieu."
With a lullaby for you.
Cunning fox, badger brocks,
sleep beneath the earth and rocks.
Creatures who creep in the night.
All around, not a sound,
In the air or on the ground
Keep you from our lady's sight.
Philomel with sweet melody
We'll sing a lullaby for you.
Lulla, lull, lull, lull, lullaby
We'll sing a lullaby.
So we say - "Goodnight and adieu."
With a lullaby for you.
Bottom The Brave
The blackbird is black
It's very, very black;
Except for its orange-coloured beak.
These woods are black too
Oh what am I to do?
No I'm not frightened so to speak.
I've done it all before - I am "HeeHaaw...!"
Bottom - Bottom the brave weaver
Giving all the animals a wave.
Hello Mrs Fairy
I don't think you're scary
But maybe it’s time I had a shave.
A Triple Wedding
Today’s the day
When at last the lovers get their catch.
Let’s make our way
To the temple to confirm the match.
Theseus the Duke has made our day-
Theseus the Glorious has filled our day with laughter
We can sing out Hip HipHip Hooray
This is how our story has a Happy Ever After
Now we’re going to celebrate a Triple Wedding Day.
PyramusAnd Thisbe
That was our play
For the Royal Wedding Day -
The First Night, Opening, Premiere!
The critics will agree,
We'll go down in History
What an honour to be there!
So give us your hands and say
"Oh, what a play!"
What a play, What a celebration
What a thing to set before the Lord and Lady.
What a show, what an entertainment,
Pyramus and Thisbe they'll applaud.
They'll shout for more and say,
"Oh what a play!"
A play! A play! A play! A play! A play! A- play! A - play!
