European Week of Languages:As part of the whole school celebration of languages, there will be European tunes playing in the canteen at break and lunchtime all this week. The canteen staff are cooking up some international dishes this week too, so come along to the hot food serving bar and try some flavours from around the world.

Innes house logo competition: If you would like to enter the Innes house logo competition please go to Mrs Templeton’s room (B30) on Monday and Thursday this week at 1.00pm. Kyle and Sophie will be there to support you, supply templates for your designs and answer any questions you may have. Remember you get house points for entering and we want to win this year! International Week - Eurovision Song Contest:Ourown Eurovision Contestis this coming Friday with three fabulous acts, six great judges, two teachers in the staff actand one amazing host, not forgetting two glamorous assistants.And, added excitementswill bethesurprise member ofstaff in oneof the acts. Not to be missed. It all starts at 1.00pm in the Library.

Chatterbox Challenge Wed 16th December: Do you have a favourite literary character? The Wonderland Group is looking for staff participants for one ofour “Alice in Wonderland” anniversary activities.

The Chatterbox Challenge will involve pupils trying to collectas many characters as possible on Wednesday 16th December.

Staff volunteers will wear Chatterbox badges and will be asked simply to tell pupils about their favourite character and book(s) on request. We need about twenty volunteers so, if you would like to take part, please email me with “Chatterbox” in the subject line.

Free Indoor Cycling Sessions:“Come along to FREE indoor cycling sessions at Moray Leisure Centre on Wednesday 23rd and 30th September 4.15-5.15pm. The sessions are funded by Elgin Youth Café in a bid to help youngsters be more active. If you are interested and under 16 years, you MUST collect a parental consent form from PE department and take along to the 1st session. If enough interest then more sessions will be booked. European Week of Languages: As part of the European Week of Languages, all S1-S3 pupils are invited to take part in a Treasure Hunt around the school. There are 16 questions on posters around the school and your Reg teacher will give you an answer sheet. Each question has a number beside it. On your answer sheet you will see a space beside each country to write in a number, just match the questions to the answers! Have fun, amusez-vous bien! Viel Spass! To be in with a chance of winning, please return your completed answer sheets to your French or German teacher by the end of this week (Friday 25th September).

Get ready for the Speak to Me challenge on Friday 25th September! Talk to as many members of staff as you can in French, German or Spanish. Each staff member you speak to will sign your planner, and there are prizes for the people with the most signatures in their planner on Monday morning.

Art Club: If you enjoy art and want to get involved in entering some great art competitions, as well as earn points for your house, then come along to B39 Thursday lunchtimes. We will meet every Thursday lunchtime to work on our first competition. Any questions see Miss Tullis. (MT)

S1/S2 Cookery Club: All pupils interested in cookery club should sign up in the HE department. The club will run on Thursday 3.20pm to 4.20pm and will cost £1.00. Please bring a container!

S1 – S4 Girls: football team training on a Monday 15.30 til 16.30. Starts Monday 14th September.

S1, S2 S3 Rugby: Training every Wednesday after school 3.30 to 4.50. Change in school PE changing rooms. All new existing players are welcome. First match September 29th at home. Any questions, please see Mr Kelly in G13.

S6 V Staff Softball: The game is on today after school. Meet in the PE department at 3.30. See you all there!

Aberdeen University Library trip - forms and money must be handed int o Mrs Toonen by the end of tomorrow.

Advanced Higher pupils going to Aberdeen University Library on 1October: should hand their forms and money to Mrs Toonen by Tuesday please.
