Job Purpose

To ensure that the Deli is a special place to be for guests, by providing them with the highest standards of service, care and attention.

Principal Accountabilities

Guests

  1. Welcome guests to the deli as soon as they arrive, show them to a table and ensure that they receive excellent service during their time in the Deli. Use their name at least once during their Deli experience.
  2. Provide full service to tables in the Deli, ensuring guests are aware of specials and menu availability, as appropriate. Actively offer suggestions to improve the guest experience and product offering.
  3. Take drinks orders throughout the spa visit, taking a proactive approach to approach guests to check their requirements so they are not waiting unnecessarily for service. Fulfil drinks orders accurately, deliver drinks and pour all bottled drinks at the table.
  4. Take food orders, dealing with any questions in a courteous and proactive manner. Prepare food to the required specification and ensure the highest standards of hygiene at all times.
  5. Ensure guest accounts are accurate and delivered efficiently and process all payments according to set procedures.
  6. Address any issues of customer dissatisfaction immediately. If the matter cannot be resolved, contact the Deli Supervisor or Food and Beverage Manager without delay.

Deli Environment

  1. Monitor tables and guests at all times, ensuring the Deli provides a warm, welcoming guest experience and memorable service. Ensure the Deli environment is presented to the highest standard and that tables are cleared, cleaned and re- laid efficiently.
  2. Take full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Deli in the absence of the Deli Supervisor.
  3. Ensure that all members of the Deli team maintain high standards of professionalism and appearance at all times and that the Deli is a relaxed and pleasant environment for guests.
  4. Remain fully aware of the required operational standards and procedures and provide assistance with training, induction and staff development, specifically with health and safety related matters.

Deli Team

  1. Work positively as a member of the Deli team, co-operating with team colleagues and helping the team remain motivated to deliver the best possible service to guests.
  2. Establish strong relationships with guests to help to build a successful client base for the Deli team.
  3. Work with team colleagues to achieve targets and ensure that high levels of guest satisfaction are achieved.
  4. Contribute to product promotions and the identification and implementation of new product lines.
  5. Take pride in the work of the Deli team and work with team colleagues to proactively suggest improvements to the Deli experience.
