Saturday, February 22 – Day 01: GAUHATI – SHILLONG.
Arrive/gather at Gauhati airport. Golden triangle participants will arrive at 1PM. If you are making your own flight arrangements please plan to arrive no later than this is you wish to share the transfer with the group. Transfer to motor coach for 4 hour drive from Gauhati airport to Shillong. Hotel check-in. Group dinner with local Khasi Unitarian leaders & ministers. Dinner & overnight – Hotel Centre Point**** (D)
Sunday, February 23 – Day 02: SHILLONG
Breakfast at hotel. Morning rehearsal followed by orientation session and group lunchwith church leaders and ministers about the history & theology of Unitarianism in North East India.. Afternoon church service at Madan Laban Unitarian church with choir performance. Reception afterward with congregation. Free evening in Shillong. Dinner on your own. Overnight Shillong – Hotel Centre Point. (BL)
Monday, February 24 – Day 03: SHILLONG
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning rehearsal followed by walkabout in downtown Shillong with a visit to the city market. Free time to explore. Lunch on your own. Afternoon tour of Don Bosco Museum of indigenous cultures. Evening program TBD.Group dinner & overnight Shillong – Hotel Centre Point. (BD)
Tuesday, February 25 – Day 04: SHILLONG – JOWAI – SHILLONG
Breakfast at the hotel. 4-5 hour drive roundtrip to Jowai. Visit Jowai Unitarian Church & school. Choir performance with youth participation. Luncheon reception afterward before returning to Shillong. Free evening. Dinner on your own. Overnight Shillong – Hotel Centre Point. (BL)
Wednesday, February 26 - Day 05: SHILLONG – SHILLONG KHARANG - SHILLONG
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning drive to Kharang (4 hours roundtrip). Day in Kharang (the home of the Unitarian legendary, Annie Margaret Barr); visits to Kharang church, schools, orphanage, and neighboring villages with numerous opportunities for musical interludes. (box lunches from Centre Point) – group dinner back at hotel in Shillong. (BLD)
Thursday, February 27 - Day 06: SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE - SHILLONG
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning drive to Cherrapunjee (4 hours roundtrip). Day in Cherrapunjee (beautiful area of hills, gorges and waterfalls); points of interest such as Nohkalikai Falls (2nd highest in India) and Nohsngithiang Falls. Picnic lunch in park atop cliff overlooking the plains of Bangladesh. Free evening. Dinner on your own. Overnight Shillong. (BL)
Friday, February 28 – Day 07: SHILLONG
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning rehearsal followed by a walk in Ward Lake and a visit to a local tea plantation. Free afternoon to relax or shop in the local markets. Lunch on your own. Evening public concert at Shillong venue. Group dinner. Overnight Shillong. (BD)
Saturday, March 01 – Day 08: SHILLONG – VILLAGE TBD – SHILLONG
Breakfast at the hotel before setting out to a nearby Unitarian village for a day of singing, celebration & fun. Details TBD by Khasi Unitarian leadership. Group lunch. Free evening back in Shillong. Dinner on your own. (BL)
Sunday, March 02 – Day 09: SHILLONG
Breakfast at hotel. Morning rehearsal. Afternoon services at Nongphaimar Unitarian church in Shillong followed by choir concert. Reception following and farewell group dinner with church leaders, ministers, & congregants. Overnight Shillong – Hotel Centre Point (BLD)
Monday, March 03 – Day 10: SHILLONG - DELHI
Travel day. Breakfast at hotel before retracing our route to Gauhati airport for early afternoon flight to Delhi. Box lunch en route. Late PM arrival in Delhi.
Transfer to airport hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight Delhi – Hotel Airport Residency. (BL)
Tuesday, March 04 – Day 11: DELHI AIRPORT
Travel day. Breakfast at hotel before catching your flight home.
