Summer 2015
Dear Fourth Grade Friend,
I was so excited when I saw your name on my class list. I know we will have a great year and will definitely have fun learning how to learn. I have a zillion and one new ideas and activities that will certainly brighten up your days. We will learn how to get into the author's mind and heart while reading, solve neat math problems, learn the secrets of correct spelling, explore electricity, and find ourselves traveling through New York State discovering many interesting facts and viewing wonderful sights.
Not only do you get me as your 4th grade teacher, I am so excited to tell you that Mrs. Cichocki will also be your teacher as well. She is great, you are going to love her. She will teach ELA and Social Studies while I will teach Math and Science. We will share more about our team when we see you in September. We are so looking forward to a great year and again we are so excited.
There are a few supplies that you will find on the additional sheet that I would like you to have for the beginning of the school year. Tell your parents that this is the time to take advantage of the summer sales, it might get you some extra brownie points, and avoid the September rush. In addition to these supplies, and most of all, you will need a great sense of humor. I love to laugh and really enjoy when kids laugh with me. You will also need a huge amount of curiosity. If you don't have any, don't worry, we will scrounge around and find you some. Last but not least, pack up the ability to take a risk and try anything that will help you learn and realize just how smart you are.
I hope you are enjoying your summer and I can’t wait to hear about all of the exciting adventures and fun stuff that you have been doing. I have some great stories to share with you as well.
I am really excited about coming back to school and my classroom pets can't wait to meet you! They love kids! See you soon. Be good and smile at someone today.
Mr. Partisano
P.S. Mrs. Cichocki is requesting 2 black Sharpie Markers (fine point – NOT ultra fine point) that was not the general list. Thank you!!!
