Auditions: Sunday, February 4th, 2018. 3:00-5:00 pm Les Compagnons.

Bring indoor shoes and wear comfortable clothing.

ACTING: lines to choose from and prepare for Sunday!

Mrs. Davis: Hey kids, that was a great warm-up! Are you ready for the annual church talent

night? All kids: (enthusiastically) Yeah!!

Brandon: Mrs. Davis, my comedy routine will have them rolling in the aisles!

Haley: (Southern accent) Our Hoe-down dance will have ‘em stompin’ and clappin’!

Simone: (proudly) I’ll be reciting from “Romeo & Juliet” … It’s a Shakespearean travesty.

Randy: I think you mean “tragedy”.

Simone: That’s what I said.

Randy: No, you said, “travesty”.

Simone: (with Shakespearean melodrama and accent)

To be “travesty” or to be “tragedy” … that is the question …

Randy: (purposely interrupting ) Girl… you gotta get out more.

Eddie “The King”: (Elvis impersonator) Thank you… Thank you very much. (and sings)

Jillian: (grandly) Ladies and gentlemen, watch very closely as I, Jillian the Magnificent, make

this cookie disappear! Nothing up my sleeves… (holds hanky over cookie in front of face)

Abra-ca-dabra (stuffs cookie in mouth, pulls away hanky and speaks with mouth full)

Ta-da, all gone!

DANCING:

Practise as many moves/steps that you can remember, as often as you can,

by yourself or with a friend, so you don’t forget them.

All kids make the show whether or not they audition, BUT, auditions allow us to place them in a part they are strong in; singing, acting or dancing. It is also a very good learning opportunity for future shows they may want to be in.

First rehearsal will be Wed., February 7th, 6:00-8:00, at SJSH.
