Dan Martin - founding partner of Integrated Solutions Consulting - has been recognized by other in the industry as an innovative problem solver - dedicated to the profession of emergency and disaster management. For more than 12 years, Mr. Martin has worked with local, state, and federal governments, as well as international corporations, to provide professional environmental and emergency management consulting. He was performed in various capacities for disaster operations including the response, recovery, and mitigation operations for over ten disasters, including the 2001 World Trade Center Attacks, the 2004 Florida Hurricanes, and Hurricane Katrina.
Mr. Martin has a myriad of all hazards, multi-jurisdictional, emergency planning experience for a diverse array of entities including International Airports, rural and urban communities, county municipalities, Native American Indian Tribes, private corporations, FEMA, and DHS. Mr. Martin’s planning experience includes contingency & strategic operational response, post-disaster recovery, catastrophic housing and individual assistance, business continuity, hazard mitigation, comprehensive emergency management, public health programs, pandemic planning, environmental assessments, best-management practices, spill prevention control, and floodplain management plans.
Senior client officials have recognized Mr. Martin for his extensive knowledge of the federal disaster recovery and mitigation programs, regulations, and policies, as well as disaster operational practices. Mr. Martin is a FEMA-certified Instructor and has prepared, provided oversight, and/or managed the development of over $1B in disaster recovery and mitigation grants, including grants associated with 9/11, the 2004 Florida Hurricanes, and Hurricane Katrina.
Mr. Martin is routinely requested to present and publish articles on the topics of emergency management. Mr. Martin’s enthusiasm for and knowledge of the profession of emergency management and the effects of disasters on critical infrastructure and communities has led him to become involved in several professional organizations including American Society of Civil Engineers’ Committee on Critical Infrastructure, The Infrastructure Security Partnership, and International Association of Emergency Managers.
Mr. Martin is a Certified Emergency and Floodplain Manager. He is the National Critical Infrastructure Lead for ASCE, chairs the IAEM Certified Emergency Manager Designation Commission, and sits on the FEMA National Advisory Committee. Mr. Martin holds a Master’s degree in Disaster and Emergency Management and is currently enrolled in North Dakota State’s Emergency Management PhD program.
