Topic Description

·  RTCR Regulation & Requirements will explain the differences between the existing Total Coliform Rule currently in effect and the RTCR that will become effective April 1, 2016, and what systems need to do to comply with the new regulation

·  Modifying Your Sampling Plan will go over the changes you may need to make to your existing site sampling plan to incorporate the RTCR regulations and how to get your revised sampling plan reviewed and approved by the NMED-DWB

·  Level 1/2 Assessments and Corrective Actions will explain how each type of assessment is to be used and when, and the schedule you need to follow to submit your assessment and corrective action plan to the NMED-DWB for approval

·  Sanitary Defects/Significant Deficiencies will illustrate the different types of defects or deficiencies you need to look for when conducting a Level 1 or Level 2 assessment of your system

Applicability

·  WS3/WS4 operators are already qualified to conduct Level 1 and 2 assessments

o  you are encouraged to attend this RTCR training for the information specific to this new regulation

·  SWA operators are already qualified to conduct Level 1 assessments

o  you are required to attend this RTCR training to conduct Level 2 assessments

·  SW and WS1/WS2 operators are required to attend this RTCR training to conduct Level 1 and 2 assessments

·  NMED-DWB will maintain statewide database of operators certified to conduct Level 1 and 2 assessments through this training by NMED or third-party TA/training provider
