Will look into MailChimp for e-blasts. Also will put Board Names on website.
• Special Events: Joan Carver/ Rose Allen
o State Fair Quilt on a Stick
o Sharon’s Cabin Day August 30 ….demos silk burning, stick wrapping….
o Possible road trip to Moorhead to see 26 pieces from Quilt National.
• Textile Center
o Job descriptions to be written and given to Tina.
o Encourage carpooling for parking issue ?
o Tina suggest a project with MN Center for Book Arts
10 to 15 volunteers – exchange paper and one surface design cloth. Then using both paper and cloth, pairs of people design and make a book.
Kraig Rasmussen is the point person for this project.
o Sue Benner class – Two Day Fusing Art Quilting class.
Saturday, September 24 and Sunday September 25, 2016.
Part of air fare, lodging, meals, class cost for her $500 a day,
Rent whole auditorium. Room rate X 3 Do and Dye – We will participate with magnets again
Joan Carver, LaVonne Batalden and Sharon Englund will be representatives from MCQ. They will prepare the project and be at the table to help folks do the art.

Need a publicity person on the board to promote the guild and activities.
Sharon will make up a publicity job description.
