Unit Statement: The student will apply vocabulary related to the topic. The student will describe different places in the city. The students will identify and conjugate selected action verbs related to the topic.
Essential Outcomes: (must be assessed for mastery)
- The Student Will memorize vocabulary related to the topic.
- TSW memorize names of places in the city.
- TSW ask and answer the question “Куда?”
- TSW ask and answer the question “Где?”
- TSW memorize conjugation of the verbs идти, ходить in Present Tense.
- TSW differentiate prepositions в/на
- TSW write about his/her day in the city

1. The Student Will practice applying prepositions в/на
2. TSW practice using Куда and идти/ходить
3. TSW practice conjugation of the verbs идти and ходить
4. TSW review names of the places in the city.
5. TSW recognize the names of transport.
6. TSW review the numbers 0-100.
7. TSW review days of the week.
8. TSW write a list of words related to the topic.
9. TSW practice speaking, reading, writing and listening skills.
10. TSW develop listening and speaking skills through daily speaking routine (dialogues among students and teacher, and also peer conversations)

Suggested Assessment Tools and Strategies:
Play the game “Walking around the city”
Practice using names of the colors in the game “Go fish”
Games for memorizing the vocabulary (for example - “Pechatnaya mashinka” see the attachment).
Cartoons on different topics (please refer to Youtube)
Develop “Word Wall” based on student vocabulary acquisition (please refer to the Internet)
The student will respond to daily oral classroom instruction/commands
Comprehension and language skills can be assessed by playing games related to the essential outcomes.
