TheBushkill ElementarySchoolagreestoimplementthefollowing:
- Theschoolwillputintooperationprograms,activitiesandproceduresfortheinvolvementofparentsintheTitleI,PartAprogram.Theseprograms,activitiesandprocedureswillbeplanned, operated, and reviewed onanannualbasis; withmeaningfulconsultationwithparents. Concerns/complaintswillbedirectedtotheTitleIDirector.
- The school willhaveanannualmeetingtoinformparentsoftheschool’sparticipationinTitleI,toexplainthe requirementsoftheprogramandtoinformparentsoftheirrighttobeinvolved.
- Theschoolwillprovideparentswith timelyinformationabouttheTitleIprogram.
- Progresswillbereportedthroughconferences andreportcard comments.
- Parentmeetings,includingparentconferences,willbeheldatleasttwiceannually (NovemberandMarch).Differenttimesduringthedayandeveningwillbeofferedto accommodateparents’schedules.ParentsmayrequestadditionaltimestomeetwiththeTitleIteachersand/ortheTitleIDirector.
- An Informational table at Open House with will be available annually.

- Books & Bingo Night
- Family Reading Night
- Head Start classes offered on-site
- Quick Start Program will be offered in the summer for incoming Kindergarteners.
- Theschoolwilldevelopa school-parentcompactannuallyandthiscompact willbesharedwithparentsduring the first marking period.
- Theschoolwillidentifybarrierstogreaterparticipationbyparents(withparticularattentiontoparentswho:

- Theschoolwillevaluateaboutitsparentalinvolvementpolicyandactivities. The school, withtheinvolvementofparents, will usethefindings of this evaluation todesignand revise strategiesformoreeffectiveparentalinvolvement.
- TitleIfundsmaybeusedtopayreasonableandnecessaryexpensesassociatedwithparentalinvolvementactivities,toenableparentstoparticipateinschool-relatedmeetingsandtrainingsessions.
- Theschoolwillprovidematerialsandtrainingtohelpparentsworkwiththeirchildrentoimprovetheirchildren’sacademicachievement.These materials may include information such as:
- “Parents Make a Difference!” newsletter posted monthly on the school website
- flyers sent home for district and school parental involvement events
- Connect Ed phone messages
- books, games, tapes, and DVDs that parents and/or students can borrow from the Title I parent cart Title I parent cart
- booklists and activitiesforsummerreading
- Theschoolwill,totheextentfeasibleandappropriate,coordinateandintegrateparentalinvolvementprogramsandactivitieswithHeadStartand invite parents of existing students with pre-school age siblings to participate in the following programs: Kinder-Versity, Teach Me to Read at Home, and Quick Start.
- The school will offer the following for students that need extra instructional support outside of the school day, such as Homework Club.
