SIBLEY CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH
The Lord’s Day – May 8, 2016
Pastor Luke Wynja
Welcome to the Sibley Christian Reformed Church …
A place to gather, worship, and praise the Lord!
Morning Worship 9:30 A.M.
WE GATHER IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD
Prelude
Welcome/Announcements
Call to Worship from Psalm 27
Leader: The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I
fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom
shall I be afraid?
People: Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me, even then I will
be confident.
Leader: One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of
my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to
seek him in his temple.
People: For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his
dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred
tent and set me high upon a rock.
Leader: Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who
surround me.
People: At his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make music to the LORD.
*God’s Greeting
“Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” (Gal 1:3-5 NIV)

WE ARE RENEWED IN THE GRACE OF GOD
Call to Confession: Hebrews 4:12-13: For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
God’s Will for Our Lives: Exodus 20:1-17
Prayer of Confession
Assurance of Forgiveness- 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:16-17 NIV)
