Face2Face – Camp Program at Vangen Camp site
Week no. 1: (Saturday 27. July – Friday 2. Aug)
Saturday, 27/07/13
This is the main arrival and welcome day. Everybody will arrive during Saturday 27. July, to the camp site at Vangen. More information about Vangen: http://www.vangenskistue.no/ (The information is only in Norwegian, but use Google Translate..) Everybody will be picked up at their arrival point. For most of you this will be Oslo Airport Gardermoen. When you arrive there will be served something to eat.
12am – 6pm Registration, no organized activities.
6pm – 7pm Dinner
7pm - 7.15pm Short and informal information about Sunday, practical info etc
08pm -11.30pm Bonfire on the shore of the lake.
12pm Good Night
Sunday, 28/07/13
This is the official welcome day. A big Welcome Get-Together Party with Lions friends. During the evening some of you will present yourself and your country. You will know in due time J
8am -8.30am A voluntary nice and refreshing swim in the lake ;-)
9am -10am Breakfast
10am -11am Mandatory information meeting, short presentation of the crew and the participants.
11am - 2pm Vangen Challenge 2013, Team Building Exercises with something to eat
2pm - 3.30pm Preparations for the Welcome Get-Together Party
5pm - 8pm Welcome Dinner with guests from Lions (District Governor and Presidents in local Lions Clubs.)
8pm -8.15pm Daily wrap-up and plans for the next day (Camp Leaders)
8.15pm-9pm Presentation of countries + Norway
12pm Good Night
Monday, 29/07/13
Today we will travel to the city to learn about Oslo; the capital of Norway. More information about Oslo www.visitoslo.com/en/ .The Royal Castle and sightseeing of Oslo’s others main attractions. During the evening some of you will present yourself and your country. You will know in due time J
7:30am – 8:00am Breakfast.

12am – 01.30pm A guided tour through the Royal Castle.

Tuesday, 30/07/13
We will spend the day at Vangen Camp Site hiking in the forest.
8am - 8.30am A voluntary nice and refreshing swim in the lake ;-)
8:30am - 9:30am Breakfast with the famous “Matpakke” lesson.
10am - 5pm Hiking in Østmarka (name of the forest). Matpakke required.
7pm - 8pm Dinner
8pm -8.15pm Daily wrap-up and plans for the next day (Camp Leaders)
8.15pm - 9pm Presentation of countries
12pm Good Night
Wednesday, 31/07/13
This day is fully dedicated to football and Norway Cup. This is the largest tournament in the World for youth commencing in Oslo week 31 every year. http://www.norwaycup.no/?set_lang=en
8am -8.30am A voluntary nice and refreshing swim in the lake ;-)
8:30am - 9:30am Breakfast.
11am - 6pm Norway Cup
12.30pm - 1.30pm Lunch – at Norway Cup.
7pm - 8pm Dinner

Thursday, 01/08/11
We will spend the day at Vangen Camp Site hiking in the forest.
