CASE # 12-3125DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTYOn Saturday, August 25, 2012, Deputy S. Mitter responded to a destruction of property complaint on Irish Ridge Road, near Tunnelton. A witness had seen a rust colored blazer run into a ditch and damage a mailbox and then leave the scene. Any witnesses are asked to contact Deputy S. Mitter.
CASE # 12-3111LARCENYOn Saturday, August 24, 2012, Cpl Bryan received a call regarding the theft of a license plate from a 2001 Dodge Dakota while it was parked on McKinney Cave Road, near Reedsville. License plate number DKT213.
CASE # 12-3133HIT-N-RUNOn Monday, August 27, 2012, Sgt Root responded to a hit-n-run complaint on East Washington Avenue, in Terra Alta. The victim’s vehicle had been hit and the driver fled the scene. This is a continuing investigation.
CASE # 12-3139DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTYOn Tuesday, August 28, 2012, Sgt Pritt responded to the Hazelton area in regards to a destruction of property complaint. A blue 2012 Chevrolet Cruze had been spray painted. Any witnesses are asked to contact the Preston County Sheriff’s Department.
CASE # 12-3161LARCENYOn Thursday, August 30, 2012, Cpl Dotson responded to K Road, in Arthurdale, in regards to a larceny complaint. The victim had a Bostich compressor stolen from his property. Any witnesses are asked to contact the Preston County Sheriff’s Department.
CASE # 12-3174LARCENYOn Thursday, August 30, 2012, Cpl Bryan responded to Dinkenberger Road, near Kingwood, in regards to a larceny complaint. A bicycle had been stolen from the front porch of a home. Any witnesses are asked to contact Cpl Bryan.
CASE # 12-3196DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTYOn Sunday, September 2, 2012, a resident of Aurora reported to Deputy Sinclair that his mailbox had been damaged on Snowy Meadows Lane. Any witnesses are asked to contact Deputy Sinclair.
CASE # 12-3200BREAKING AND ENTERINGOn Sunday, September 2, 2012, Cpl Tichnell responded to a business in Corinth in regards to a breaking and entering complaint. A vehicle had been entered while it was parked in the parking lot of the business and prescription medication had been stolen. A suspect has been identified.
CASE # 12-3213LARCENYOn Tuesday, September 4, 2012, DFC Sinclair received a call from a resident of Arthurdale who reported that several construction hand tools were stolen from this truck bed.
CASE # 12-3241FRAUDOn Wednesday, September 5, 2012, Cpl Bryan received a call from a resident of Tunnelton who wished to report a suspicious event. The caller stated that there was a tractor for sale on Craigslist and the seller was requesting a “Money Gram’. Amazon, the broker for the tractor, was contacted and it was determined to be a scam. Please be cautious when purchasing items via Internet.
