  • Follow all school rules and classroom rules.
  • Student requirements: organized, pencil/pen, USBmandatory.
  • Every assignment,BEST effort and turned in on time, late work may not be awarded full credit.
  • Tardies: PER ADMINISTRATION: 15 minutes late, tardy. 2 tardies: parent contact. 3 tardies: discipline referral. If 16 minutes late, there will be a referral for skipping class.
  • Attendance: A student must attend at least 51% of a class (46 minutes of a 90-minute class and 92 minutes of a 180-minute class) in order to be counted present for that class (pg. 12 student handbook)
  • Fire drills, tornado drills, lockdown drills.
  • CANVAS: All instruction, assignments, student communication is online via CANVAS, please show your parents/guardians this integrated learning system. Grades are uploaded from CANVAS to Powerschools.
  • Power Schools: Grades are updated regularly, CANVAS does so automatically. Attendance is taken at the beginning of every class, thus noting tardy and absence for each student. Show your parents/guardians how this information is displayed for you.
  • Follow instructions oral, written, raise hand, wait for teacher dismissal to leave class when bell rings
  • Internet- majority of work assigned, tested or submitted is via the Internet. It is for instructional purposes only, teacher may restrict use.
  • Cell phones: Students are not to use cell phones in the buildingFailure to follow this rule will result in the item (cell phone) being confiscated from the student. Students failing to turn items over to school personnel are subject to disciplinary actions up to and including Out of School Suspension. (pg 33 student handbook).
  • First offense: Confiscated item will be returned to the student at the end of the school day at 3:00pm, or as noted in the teacher’s classroom discipline policy.
  • Second offense: Confiscated item will be returned to the student at the end of the school day at 3:00pm. Parents will be contacted with documented referral. ISS may be assigned.
  • Third offense: Parents will be contacted with documented referral. Actions up to a 2days ISS may be assigned. Confiscated item will be returned to the parent at the end of the school day at 3:00pm.
  • Fourth offense: Administrative Conference and disciplinary actions up to and including Out of School Suspension.
  • No eating, drinking (page 34 student handbook), grooming in classroom.
  • Assertive Discipline Plan- 1st offense- verbal warning

2nd .offense- parent contact

3rd offense- contact guidance counselor

4th offense- student/parent conference

5th offense- discipline referral to administrator

  • EVALUATION CRITERIA:

Personal Finance: 50% classwork/homework, 50% tests/projects, must take a VOCATS exam. Final exam worth 20% of overall grade

MSIA- 50% tests, 30% classwork/homework Training 20% Certificationin lieu of VOCATS for Microsoft Academy courses if both certifications are obtained and passing grade.
