SNOW WHITE AND THE 7 DOORS
VISITING TEACHING SKIT

One can Narrate the beginning and One can Narrate at the End)
Narrator 1: You’ve all heard the story of Snow White and how she was to live happily ever after…Well this is the story of after. The 7 dwarfs all got married and got jobs with the Government and Snow White moved into their Ward where she was assigned to be their Visiting Teacher. Sister Happy whose husband was the President was assigned to be her companion and always had a good attitude.
WALKING TO DOOR NUMBER ONE
Snow: Well Sister Happy I have the lesson and we’ve said our prayer so first on our list is Sister Doc. What is she like and what does her husband do?
Happy: She is a Perfectionist and Her Husband is the Surgeon General.
She is probably already living the lesson, in fact, she probably wrote it. Ha ha
(Snow White goes with Sister Happy to Sister Docs House. The Door is a Person with a medical wreath around her neck, she sings a musical doorbell )
Doc: Welcome Visiting Teachers, do come in. I’ve been looking forward to discussing some things with you.
(behind the door they whisper and discuss with the lesson manual open
and then shake hands and leave)
WALKING TO DOOR NUMBER TWO
Happy: I’m so glad that we gave her the message. I didn’t think she of all people would need it. But, she really needed to talk with all the pressures she’s under.
Snow: Yes, we all need the lesson. Now we have Sister Sneezy.
Happy: Her husband is in charge of Environmental Pollution.
(The Door is a person with an Environmental Wreath with lots of flowers
Around her neck and who makes a Honk sound for the doorbell and Creeks)
Sneezy: Ah-Ah-Ah Choooooo!!!Ow Hewo Sdow and Habby
Snow: Do you have another cold Sister Sneezy?
Sneezy: I have the Flu - Ah-Ah-Ah- Chooo!!!
Snow: Well, you go right ot bed and don’t worry about anything, I’m going to bring dinner to your family this evening. See you tonight.
Sneezy: Thank you so much. Bye Sdow and Habby.
WALKING TO DOOR NUMBER THREE
Happy: Wow, Snow you really realized what she needed.
I hope you can help me to know what to do for Sister Sleepy.
She has six small children and a new baby. Her husband works in the Senate Expediting Laws.
(The Door has a Legal Wreath with closed eyes around it,
Doorbell whispers and opens very slowly)
Sleepy: Yawn!!! (you can hear a crying baby in the background)
Oh Hi Snow and Happy. Sorry I’m so tired, I’ve been up all night the baby has colic and cries all the time.
Snow: Let me take all the children to the Castle this after noon so you can sleep. I will bring them all back after you’ve had a long nap.
Sleepy: Are you sure? Yawn! (kids are heard yelling and screaming in the background Sleepy turns her head to scream) Kids knock it off !!!!
Oh that would be –Yawn! – fabulous.
Snow: No Problem. I will come back for them when we are finished in an hour.
Sleepy: Thank you soooo much.
WALKING TO DOOR NUMBER FOUR
Happy: That was so thoughtful of you Snow. Now we have Sister Grumpy. She is a real challenge. Her husband works in the IRS. She doesn’t want Visiting Teachers.
(The Person who is the Door has a Wreath of sticks, No doorbell just makes a knocking sound with her tongue and slams shut)
Grumpy: Whadayawant?
Snow: We’re your Visiting Teachers. We had an Appointment?
Grumpy: Well I don’t have time….I never have time.
Happy: I know how busy you are so I have the lesson copied off for you
Our phone number is one the bottom and you are so welcome to call
If there is anything you ever need. Thank you for your time.
(she hands her a beautiful paper scrolled up in a ribbon)
Grumpy: Well!….Okay! (grabs the gift)….Bye !!
(Pushes Door Shut-Door says Boom)
WALKING TO DOOR NUMBER FIVE
Snow: Wow that was thinking ahead.
Happy: I think if we remember birthdays, holidays and special times and continue to see her every month that she might warm up to us eventually. Perhaps she will think of us when she really needs help.
Next is Sister Bashful. Her husband works with the filing system for the Government.
(The Person who is the Door has a very tiny wreath and a very tiny doorbell sound)
Bashful: (head down and almost inaudible) Hello. Come in.
Snow: Sister Bashful, I heard you accepted a calling to be a Primary Teacher.
Bashful: Yes, except I don’t think I can do it. I’m just too scared.
Happy: I used to teach that class and I could come this week to give you moral support. Oh and Sister Cinderella has a great supplemental manual with some great ideas you might like. I can ask to borrow it.
Bashful: Oh Sister Happy that would be so kind of you to do that. Thank you.
WALKING TO DOOR NUBMER SIX
Snow: Thank you for introducing me to all the Sisters on our route.
Happy: You are welcome. The last door is Sister Dopey. She is so adorable.
Her husband handles the Governments Budget.
(The Person who is the Door is wearing a Wreath that is a confusing conglomerate
The Doorbell has 3-4 different sounds- Ding Dong, Crazy Music, Beep Beep)
Dopey: (she comes up from behind them from outside)
Oh Dear, I forgot my purse. It isn’t the end of the month yet…
(Drops purse searching for planner and tries to pick up everything. When she gets her planner she looks in it to see her appointments…tears out a page and then writes things down on it then tries to put it back in the planner)
You’re so early. Oh that’s right you called and made an appointment.
Gee, I plum forgot. Oh No, I double scheduled and now I’m late for
Another appointment.
Snow: That’s fine, let us walk you out to the car. Here is my Ensign with the lesson in it.
Dopey: Oh Oh oh Shoot, I appreciate it. I lost mine.
(Sister Happy and Snow White come in front of the curtain and talk)
Snow: I loved meeting all the Sisters. Thank you for introducing me to everyone.
Happy: I know we will have so much fun being companions.
I will call the Visiting Teaching Coordinator and report
That we visited everyone this month and that everyone is living
Happily Ever After - er well thanks to their fabulous
Visiting Teachers…ha ha ha ha
IDEAS FOR COSTUMES:
SNOW You may find a costume or dress similar to Snow White.
HAPPY Bright Flashy Colors and possible Hat with fancy cover on the Ensign
DOC Lab Coat and glasses – speaks with good diction
SNEEZY Wears Green colors and carries
Tray with medicine and Kleenex, nasal spray,
SLEEPY Robe with dolls attached or other characters could play the children
GRUMPY Wears black or gray
BASHFUL Wears white simple and baggy dress
DOPEY Wears baggy clothes and trips on them, Big floppy purse filled with
Lots of crazy things.
