School Report: Mark Peperkorn

Light discussion regarding:

·  August 24, 2017 will be 6th grade orientation.

·  Good Friends presented on accepting individuals with autism. Students made insightful comments regarding presentation.

·  Forensics did well at the state event. Big Thank You to all of the Forensic Coaches for their time and talent!

·  Forward testing has been completed

·  Homework free spring break.

·  3rd quarter incentive – staff dominated students in basketball game.

·  4th quarter kick off – Finish year strong! Celebrated the great things the students have been doing – Forensics presented, solo and ensemble and pizzazz also performed.

·  Rube Goldberg event – 7th grade students did an amazing job creating their machines. Judges indicated that the level of machine that was created was above anything that they have seen before. Way to go 7th graders!!

·  Brenda Coartney reported on the following:

o  8th grade promotion is scheduled for June 8th from 11-12:30. Look for more information on the web.

o  Volunteers to be recognized on May 25th at 1:30pm

President’s Report: Angela Zúñiga-Meyer

Reported on –

·  Passive Fundraising (see below).

·  Looking to fill open positions on the PTO board for next school year. Reaching out to incoming 6th grade parents to get them involved right away.

·  Continue to work on developing web face to receive online donations for the Fun Run.

VP Report: Amie Lalor

·  Conference meal was a success with food from Harvey Moy’s. YUM!

·  Fun Run details continue to be worked on. Please watch for more announcements in the upcoming weeks.

o  Fun Run will be held on May 19th.

o  Cousin’s will be donating food for the volunteers the day of.

o  Will need volunteers to make this day a success.

Treasurer: Natasha Broxton

·  Current Balance - $11,682.00

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Passive Fundraising: Kim Skaug (not present)

·  Portillo’s on April 18th raised $48.

·  Murf’s on May 10th from 10:30am-9:30pm. 20% of proceeds will be donated to the PTO.
