Internship Description: Auberle’s Behavioral Health Department provides a wide range of services to children, adolescents, adults and families. Interns will receive hands-on experience with our population which will also include experience in psychiatric, mental health and substance abuse services through Auberle’s Outpatient Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol programs. The population served is a combination of Auberle residents (children/adolescents court ordered to Auberle group home placement by CYF or Probation) as well as community outpatient clients (children, adolescents, & adults). Auberle therapists provide a combination of individual, group, and family therapy. Auberle is seeking talented and compassionate Master’s level mental health internsseeking experience in Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse treatment.

Staff: Auberle therapists include a combination of Professional Counselors, Marriage & Family Therapists, and Social Workers, some of whom have and/or are pursuing state licensure. Auberle is invested in the internship program as it provides professional development and offers many opportunities for ongoing clinical growth via on-site consultation with experts in the field, training opportunities in evidence-based practice, and individual and group supervision.

Requirements: Enrollment in Master’s level program in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work or related field. This position requires a pre-placement physical and TB test. Also required to apply for Act 33/34 clearances (criminal and child abuse) as well as FBI clearance.
