Overview - Statistical Analyst (DOHR)

Statistical and psychometric research and analysis including interpretation of quantitative data, survey design, sampling plan development, psychometric testing for reliability, validity, and analyzing the data from the responses. Collect and analyze large amounts of data “big data”. Maintain databases and ensure data accuracy and reliability.

Performance Expectations

·  Leverage leading online survey tools, such as SurveyMonkey to collect data and collate data outputs

·  Develop the overall design for surveys used in psychometric testing and evaluation, specifically for work environment assessments

·  Develop sampling plans, including determination of sample size requirements, sample stratification schemes, allocation of samples to strata and optimal clustering of samples

·  Select and construct appropriate sampling frames

·  Develop survey questionnaires and specify data collection methods and quality control procedures

·  Prepare survey findings, reports, presentations and detailed results summaries.

·  Prepare technical documentation and user guides and provide basic technical support to the departmental users of survey and other planning data

·  Leverage data and analytics to identify key performance measures, develop innovative solutions to support agency strategies and drive business performance

·  Develop advanced analytical solutions using statistical techniques, such as:linear regression, factor analysis, generalized linear models, cluster analysis, attrition/retention modeling and leverages statistical software such as SPSS, SQL to perform complex analysis

·  Prepare and deliver complex analytics and dashboard reporting in order to ensure consistent and reliable workforce information necessary to provide feedback and recommendations which support DOHR and enterprise

·  Define critical data requirements, metrics and reporting frequencies needed to enable leaders to effectively analyze trends, predict future trends and to use these trends to make decisions and take action in support of Business and HR Strategies

·  Prepare reports of findings - use data visualization techniques, such as charts and graphs, to illustrate the results

·  Deploy excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to interact well with individuals at all levels of management

·  Interpret and communicate technical details in a clear, explainable and usable form to end users
