The Fest & Cultural Committee of Netaji Subhash Engineering College, Techno city, Garia, is organizing its Annual Cultural Fest, MESMERIZER-’08on the 9th & 10thof April,’08. For this gala ceremony, the students have organized a plethora of competitive events and cultural programme.

On this occasion, we the students of Netaji Subhash Engineering College, would like to invite the students of your college to participate in the competitive events with us.

The list of competitive events and an event schedule for MESMERIZER-’08 are enclosed. There is also an acceptance form by which you can let our organizing committee members know the events in which the students of your college will participate.

The rules & regulations for the various events are also included.

RULES & REGULATIONS:-

Inter College Choreography Competition :

PLEASE READ THESE RULES, AND REGULATIONS VERY CAREFULLY. If they are not strictly adhered to, competitors can lose marks and/or be disqualified. This competition operates under the NETAJISHUBHASHENGEENIERINGCOLLEGE FEST & CULTURAL COMMITEE.

The decision of the Judging Panel will be final in any case.

1.This is a group dance competition.

2.There should be at least three(3) members in a group, desiring to perform routines.

3. Groups should be formed under the NAME of only ONE college or university.

4. Each members of a group should be a present student of that college or university under the NAME of which (college or university) the group is participating. Every member must show their own original Identity proof of being the present student of any college or university in time of registration.

5. Last date of registration is 09.04.08(within 11 a.m.)

6. THEME of this competition is totally on the competitor’s choice.

7. Each group has 4 to 8 minutes, entrance and exit inclusive, to execute their routine.

8. Neither alteration of house lights nor use of non-dance personnel is allowed.

9. Props are allowed. They are defined as small handheld or worn objects that can be appropriately revealed, utilized, and retained. In other words, start with an empty floor, leave with an empty floor.

10. There will be Dance professionals or Artists or Choreographers as Judge(s) from the impartial planes. Teams will be judged based on originality, choreography, execution and entertainment value.

Inter College Fashion Show Competition :

The decision of the Judging Panel will be final in any case.

1.The fashion show will be held on the 8th and 9th of April.

2.On the 8th there will be a selection round where the top five teams will be selected to participate at Nazrul Manch for the Fashion Finals competition on 9th of April.

3.The preliminary selection round will be held on the 8th of April at Netaji Subhash Engineering College premises.

4.There will be 6-10 members of each team.

5.Teams can be of any combination (all male) or (all female) or mixed .

6.On 8th there is no dress theme for the fashion show selection round. Participants will perform with their theme music playing at the background .It is a “As you like it” theme.

7.On 9th, there will be the trio theme of Funky-Formals-Ethnic wear themes.

8.Each team will be given 6 minutes to perform on stage.

9.The theme music should be in an audio or mp3 cd format for both days.

10. Each members of a group should be a present student of that college or university under the NAME of which (college or university) the group is participating. Every member must show their own original Identity proof of being the present student of any college or university in time of registration.

11.selection on 8th for finals and on 9th will be done unanimously in an impartial manner by judging panels.
