Empowering Children, Enabling Leaders

Thank you for joining us in solidarity withvulnerable, unaccompanied, teen refugees. This evening we are asking you to support our#MakeSomeNoise programme, which we run in partnership with the Refugee Council UK’s Children’s Section and Orchestras for All. Every student enrolled in our programme is given access to a curriculum of educational and therapeutic music workshops, instrumental lessons, performance opportunities, and group outings. It is through this programme and other efforts that we are actively working to expand the close-knit community that these young people can count on for support, and with whose help they will ultimately succeed. Your donations, public support, and any social media coverage you provide of this event will enable us to sustain this vital community-building work.

ABOUT US

Anna MacDonald and Alyson Frazier co-founded Play for Progress in 2014 out of a desire to use music to achieve its full potential: to strengthen the connections within and appreciation of our diverse global community, and to provide support for the world's most vulnerable—children affected by conflict.

Play for Progress is a London-based global NGO that delivers therapeutic and educational music programmes for children and young people who are impacted by conflict and war to help them develop innovative and vital life skills. We aim to expand the community of support that these young people have to succeed through deep personal connections between our dedicated staff and our students. We have worked within refugee camps around the world, but now want to dedicate our full energies to providing for young people who are trying to settle in London the opportunity to engage with, learn through, and explore their capabilities within music.
