Latin American Figures Project
Due: Monday, December 1, 2014
àThe research will primarily focus on the following topics:
1. An overall biography/background of the figure chosen (who they are? How did they get to their position?)
2. Discuss in detail what this person’s contribution to their country and Latin America is/was
3. Discuss whether this person supports/ed or opposes/d U.S. policies towards their country and Latin America (give examples of specific policy/ies and explain)
àYour research project should include the following:
1. Use quotations or paraphrase; plagiarism will result in a FAIL
2. Bibliography with a minimum of 5 sources (NO Wikipedia) [goes at the end of the presentation]
3. PowerPoint Presentation of project to the class (using “10-20-30 Rule”)
4. Administer a 5-question quiz and grade them
