HERITAGE SAFE HONORS TOP SALES REPRESENTATIVES AND DEALERS

GRACE, Idaho – March 15, 2004 – Heritage Safe Company, a licensee of Smith & Wesson (AMEX: SWB), parent company of the legendary 151 year-old handgun maker, honored its top sales representatives and dealers at the 2004 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Nev. The awards recognize individual salespeople, sales agencies and dealers for their accomplishments in 2003. Last year, Heritage Safe continued its double-digit growth for the second consecutive year and increased sales by 13 percent.

“I am thrilled with the performance of our sales representatives and dealers,” said Troy Nielsen, president of Heritage Safe. “Our associates and dealers continue to add further depth to our nationwide sales force, and will continue to help us advance our brand and strategic growth in the coming years.”

Heritage Safe recognized the following sales representatives and dealers:

§  Dealer of the Year – East: Goschinski Fin Feather Fur Outfitters (Ashland, Oh.). Goschinski Fin Feather Fur Outfitters, owned by Mike & Tammy Goschinski, has been a dealer of Heritage Safe for eight of the 11 years the safe manufacturer has been in business. Fin Feather Fur grew its Heritage Safe business with a 65% increase in sales over 2002.

§  Dealer of the Year – West: Farwest Sports (Fife, Wash.) Farwest Sports, owned by Lonnie Schmidt, has been a Heritage Safe dealer/distributor for six years. Farwest also experienced double-digit growth and expanded its Heritage Safe sales by 20 percent in 2003.

§  Sales Representative Group of the Year: DWP & Associates (covering Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio), comprised of Dan Potter of Warren, Mich. and Erik Sullens of Kinmundy, Ill., is in its second full-year representing Heritage Safe.

§  Sales Associate of the Year – East: Glen Knight, of J & J Marketing (New Market, Va.), has been a Heritage Safe sales representative for three years.

§  Sales Associate of the Year – West: Kevin Hollingsworth, of Leisure Sales (Ravensdale, Wash.), is in his second full-year as a Heritage Safe sales representative.
