45TH ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING
HELD AT MUMBAI

The 45th Annual General Body Meeting of our Association was organized and conducted in a befitting, disciplined and grand manner by our Mumbaikars at Mysore Association Hall, Mathunka, Mumbai. This is the first time in the History of our Association, the Annual conference is conducted in the Northern parts of the country. When we were planning to conduct the meeting at Mumbai, many eyebrows were raised with doubt that whether it is possible. We proved that we could do wonders, if we united and confident.
The meeting was commenced by 10.00 A.M with a prayer song. It was presided over by Com.R.B.Balasubramanian, president of the Association. Com.K.K.Ananthanarayanan, Chairman of the Reception Committee welcomed all the members who have filled the hall with involvement and dedication.
In his welcome address, he narrated about the formation of our KVB Officers’ Association. He elaborated the developments and the activities of the association on various periods. He revealed the importance of the association and opened the eyes of the youngsters by his thundering speech with specific mention about the collective bargaining powers, need for effective communication with the association, active participation in the association activities, and about the Unity among ourselves.
Com. R.B.Balasubramanian delivered his presidential address on worthy note. In his presidential speech, he explained today’s banking scenario and the strength of our Indian Banking system. Further he requested our members to adhere the systems and procedures without any deviation.
The general secretary report was presented in the house by General Secretary, Com.G.Sekar. In his report he welcomed the gathering whole heartedly and appreciated the efforts taken by the Mumbai comrades for conducting the AGM.
The report consists of various global events, economic scenario and about our neighboring countries. Other issues reported were 9th bipartite wage revision and historic settlement on 2nd option on pension, revision of gratuity, common wealth games, Ayodhya verdict and corruption.
Many members have actively participated in the deliberations on the General Secretary Report. In variably, the problem of man power shortage and lacking of proper transfer policy is reflected in the speeches of delegates. General Secretary replied them suitably on the deliberated points.
Audited accounts for the year ended 2009 was presented by the treasurer Com.V.Ravinagarajan. Both General Secretary Report and audited accounts were unanimously adopted by the house.
The House honoured the officers/managers who have retired from the service of the bank during this period.
Comrades D.Balavenkataraman and S.Murugan were nominated as election officers for conducting election of Office Bearers. The House unanimously elected the following team of Office Bearers and E.C. Members for the year 2011.

The General Secretary expressed his sincere thanks to the Reception Committee for their un tired services rendered for conducting the Annual General Body Meeting at Mumbai.
He requested the young and women comrades to have more participation in the Association activities since the days to come are belonging to them only. The challenges to be met out by them are higher in numbers. Hence, they have to prepare themselves by taking active participation to retain the hard earned existing rights and to get additional benefits.
The reception committee members were honoured by the team of newly elected Office Bearers, for their yeomen service.
Com. Venkataramani, Secretary of the Reception Committee delivered vote of thanks. He thanked all the delegates and others who are instrumental for conducting this meeting successfully at Mumbai.
The meeting came to an end with the National Anthem by 5.30 P.M.
