SPECIAL NOTES!!!!

CONCERT HELP NEEDED

I'm looking for two or three people who may not be singing in the concert to come early to the Friday night concert and help me stuff some information into 1000 programs - the programs need to be ready before the doors open at 7 - so it would mean being at the Alix Goolden Hall at no later than 6:15PM. If you might be able to help hand out the programs at the door, that would also be appreciated. If you can help with this please email me
Just a reminder that if you've decided not to sing, you are welcome to request a complementary ticket for one of the concerts for your own use.
Thanks
Gloria

EARN MONEY ON-LINE

I’m on the www.MakeUseOf.com mailing list and glad to be there. I’ve come to trust their many and various computer guidebooks and other offerings.

This week they sent me a free download of digital booklet titled Earn Money On-Line. Their intro to it included the following line…

“…there are plenty of legitimate ways to earn a decent secondary income online if you’re savvy enough to avoid the false offers that are simply too good to be true, and if you possess any of a wide variety of marketable skills.”

The booklet evidently outlines some of those ways. If the idea of earning some money with your computer interests you check it out. I’m going to! (also 100+ other guides & 50+ Cheet Sheets)

Recommended as worth checking out by Bill Hanson GHC Bass etc.

BEHIND THE BOOKKEEPING 8 BALL?

Are you a service provider or other small business owner? Is the business growing time you’d like to invest blocked by bookkeeping time you have to put in?

Call me to discuss the art of the possible!

I have had Bill Hanson keep my books for my business since 2003 and I can wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who wants a combination of accuracy and foresight in their bookkeeping. Bill does great work, and besides that, he is a great guy to work with! ~ Denis Donnelly, Burren Music

PAST AND / OR DISTANT VOICES

CLAIRE & YVES IN INDIA

We have spent a very interesting week in Yercaud, near Salem, West of Punducherry, We enjoyed the Pongal celebrations (a 3 day harvest festival) and much time spent with a very nice family, involved in many successful social programs, organized by Rajidran, the dad-/social worker. He runs many services:

·  orphanage & hostel accommodation for students from nearby villages (boys and girls),

·  women groups in 250 villages, teaching them money management, micro credit and business skills, so they can open little shops or get loans to pay for children studies or medical treatment...a new men's group as well but he said it's harder to convince them

·  sweater factory, for wholesale

We stayed at the quiet Guesthouse of the Benedictine sisters at the edge of Yercaud, surrounded by forests and coffee plantations, visited schools in villages, coffee plantation with good birding, attended special events for Pongal, etc.

We spent 2 days in Conoor, near Ooty (hill stations in the Ghats), well taken care of by Father Arularasu and cook Babu, at Villa Santa Maria. Tamil Nadu and Kerala has a large number of Christians, as well as Hindus and Muslems.

Today we are going to Mudumalai tiger reserve, and then on to Kerala in a couple of days ...we think (we are flexible and go with the flow and so far it's been a great experience). Then we'll be back in Auroville (from February 10 to 19 for Claire, and Yves until March 10).

Hope you are well, sending you misty hugs and smiles from India.
